India is reeling under the fury of the novel Coronavirus, and several Bollywood stars have made efforts to do their part in the nation’s fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. While some have collaborated with NGOs, providing medical supplies for the patients, and food for the homeless, actress Vidya Balan has been working silently to help others amid the scary times.
Now, Rajkumar Hirani, Karan Johar, Mahaveer Jain’s Change Within initiative along with Art of living and Zerodha have come together for a free vaccination drive for members of the Media & Entertainment industry.
Change Within is the social interface of the film fraternity. It has been doing various social activities across the country from time to time. It had initiated a campaign called 'I stand with humanity' wherein the film fraternity along with art of living had collaborated at the outset of the first lockdown in 2020 and had helped more than 25 lacs wage earners families with ration kits and food packets across India.
Many well-known actors and filmmakers like Sanjay Dutt, Kapil Sharma, Bhumi Pednekar, Aanand L Rai, Dinesh Vijan and Sonakshi Sinha were part of this effort.
Change Within is currently organising Free Vaccination Drives in Mumbai for everyone who needs it.
Many celebrities have come forward to do their bit to help India and have contributed money, used social media to raise awareness and try to get people help, and to raise funds. Celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Hema Malini, Sonam Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Kajol, Shabana Azmi, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tahira Kashyap, Kirron Kher, and others are contributing to the good cause.
