Bollywood’s ace filmmaker Karan Johar is celebrating his 49th birthday today (May 25). Wishes have been pouring in for him from all corners. Many celebrities took to their social handles and are extending their wishes to the director. Johar is known to host some of the grandest and exquisite celebrations in Bollywood.

Now, a recent India Today report suggests that the director-producer is celebrating his special day with his friends and colleagues from the film industry. While the state continues to be in lockdown, Karan has organised a star-studded birthday bash in Alibaug.

According to the source quoted by the report, the birthday bash is organised while adhering to Covid-19 protocols and the celebrations have been divided across two days - May 24 and May 25 - to reduce the gathering, keeping the novel coronavirus pandemic in mind.

It is also being speculated that Johar’s birthday bash is being attended by Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Neha Dhupia, Ananya Panday and other Bollywood A-listers.

Recently, many celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Angad Bedi, Neha Dhupia, Ananya Panday and others were respectively spotted arriving at the Mumbai airport from various destinations.

Ranveer and Deepika returned to Mumbai on May 23, who were in Bangalore with the actress's parents, and were clicked by the paps at the Mumbai airport.

Karan Johar’s birthday bash is considered to be one of the major events in Bollywood and owing to the current coronavirus conditions, the celebrations are kept low-key. Karan's star-studded birthday bash has likely brought celebrities together.
