As reported earlier, Sridevi was to star in Karan Johar's upcoming project "Shiddat" that will be directed by Abhishek Varman.

But, the sudden demise of the late legendary actress shattered everyone and there were reports that KJo who is producing the film under his banner Dharma Productions, is finding a replacement of the late actress.

It was reported that Madhuri Dixit Nene has been finalized to fit in to Sridevi's character.

However, a source close to the filmmaker has slammed the reports and stated that the filmmaker is in no hurry to find a replacement.

"Karan was extremely fond of Sridevi and they shared an amazing relationship. He doesn't want to rush to find a replacement right away. That is certainly not on his priority list," says the source.

The source further revealed, "It's just been two weeks that Sridevi passed away and Karan does not wish to rush into anything.

In a few days, he will be sitting with his team and will decide who they want to approach for the role that was offered to Sridevi. All other speculations are baseless," added the source.
