Kalki 2: Prabhas' character to take centrestage in the sequel of Kalki 2898AD?

Kalki 2898 AD was one of the big successes of 2024. Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Kamal Haasan’s movie stunned everyone with its visuals and epic climax. People are very curious about the sequel, and have hundreds of questions for Nag Ashwin. The filmmaker was asked about what would be the screen time of Prabhas in Kalki 2898 AD Part 2. Many had complained that he had very limited scope in the first movie and the full project was carried by Amitabh Bachchan in the acting department. Nag Ashwin has clarified that Prabhas had limited time in the first movie as they wanted to create the world of Kalki first.

As we know, Kalki 2898 AD combines elements from the Mahabharata with a sci-fi dystopian world. There was a lot of Ashwatthama played by Amitah Bachchan and Sumathi (Deepika Padukone) who will bring forth the saviour of the world. Nag Ashwin who attended an event for Yevade Subramanyam’s re-release said that fans will see more of Bhairava/Karna in the movie. The film is centered around Kalki, who is the said to be tenth avatar of Lord Vishnu. We had seen Dulquer Salmaan in Kalki 2898 AD. He played a captain, a role inspired by Lord Parashurama, one of the avatars of Lord Vishnu.

Like Prabhas, fans had seen little of Kamal Haasan in the first movie. He has a much bigger role as Supreme Yaskin in the second part of the film. Disha Patani will also a bigger role in the second movie of Kalki 2898 AD.
