Jr NTR Drops Major Update on Devara Sequel and Upcoming Films

Jr NTR fans, here’s something exciting for you! The RRR star has finally addressed all the rumours about Devara Part 2. While there were talks in the industry that the sequel might not happen, Jr NTR cleared the air during the success meet of Mad Square. “Some are saying that Devara 2 will not happen. I have to say that the sequel is definitely happening,” he told the crowd. He also added, “We are just facing a small pause due to the Prasanth Neel project,” confirming that there’s only a delay, not a cancellation.

Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara Part 1 released in 2024 and brought a raw, powerful story from the coastal areas to the big screen. Jr NTR played Devara, a fierce village leader caught in a dangerous fight with Bhaira, played by Saif Ali Khan, over illegal arms smuggling through the Red Sea. The film ended on a gripping cliffhanger, which left fans eagerly waiting for the next part.

Despite mixed reviews, the film did well at the box office. It also marked the Telugu debut of Janhvi Kapoor. The cast included top names like Prakash Raj, Srikanth, and Shine Tom Chacko, making the movie one of the most talked-about releases of the year.

Along with the Devara sequel, Jr NTR also revealed his next film with Tamil director Nelson Dilipkumar, known for Doctor and Beast. This project will be Nelson’s third Telugu movie and is expected to be backed by Naga Vamsi, with music by Anirudh Ravichander.

Jr NTR is also getting ready for his Bollywood debut in War 2, where he will go head-to-head with Hrithik Roshan. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, this film is part of the YRF Spy Universe and will hit theatres on August 14, 2025.

Adding to the excitement, he has a big action project with KGF and Salaar director Prashanth Neel, tentatively titled Dragon (NTRNEEL). With so many massive projects lined up, Jr NTR is definitely keeping his fans on their toes!
