Currently, India has been in dread for her daughters and while the number of rape cases has considerably increased there seems to be a revolution at the nation's doorstep.

Recently, the whole nation was taken aback by the news about a southern Vet Doctor Priyanka Reddy broke out. The headlines carried the atrocities inflicted upon her and the furious masses have already started protesting under her banner.

On Monday, Rajya Sabha MP and veteran actress Jaya Bachchan strongly reacted to the same. She also recommended that the accused should be lynched in public in order to stop such people from committing such heinous crimes.

I know it sounds harsh, but these kind of people should be brought out in public and lynched.

She demanded justice for the victim which was also led by other MP's to ask the government about their plan of action. "I think it is time... The people want the government to give a proper and definite answer," she said.

Although, her ideas for swift actions have garnered mixed reactions from people on social media. Many users have hailed the veteran actress for her bold words. Meanwhile, a section of users have criticised her for being irresponsible in supporting lynching and promoting violence being a lawmaker without giving proper solution to the issue abiding to law and constitution.

Here are some of the mixed opinions Netizens have conferred against the demands stated by Bachchan:

On November 29, 2019, Akshay Kumar and Sona Mohapatra took to social media to condemn her death.

Akshay Kumar posted a very strong message and said, “Whether it is #PriyankaReddy in Hyderabad, #Roja in Tamil Nadu or the law student gangraped in Ranchi,we seem to be losing it as a society. It has been 7 yrs to the gut-wrenching #Nirbhaya case & our moral fabric continues to be in pieces. We need stricter laws. This needs to STOP!”
