Neeraj Ghaywan’s Homebound got a nine-minute ovation at Cannes 2025. The movie stars Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. It is a tale of friendship where Janhvi plays Sudha, the love interest of Chandan (Vishal Jethwa). Janhvi Kapoor also made her debut at Cannes for the screening of Homebound. She aced the fashion department wearing a custom-made Tarun Tahiliani skirt-corset, and vintage outfits from Yves Saint Laurent. Vishal Jethwa and Ishaan got immense praise for their acting. It is set in the backdrop of job entries for police jobs in India’s hinterland. The caste and minority angle too comes into play. Neeraj Ghaywan is known as one of the best directors in the country.
