Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor's 'Dhadak' marks 4 years; makers share a special post

Bollywood actors Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor served a fresh pairing to the showbiz four years ago when their film Dhadak released. Janhvi Kapoor made her big screen debut and with the film, the duo surely lived up to the hype.

Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak was the official Hindi remake of the Marathi blockbuster Sairat. The tragic love story saw Janhvi and Ishaan in the roles of Parthavi and Madhukar respectively and their chemistry instantly hit it off with the audiences.

To mark the special day the makers shared a special post on their Instagram account. Sharing a beautiful picture of Ishaan and Janhvi they wrote, 

"Two hearts, beating as one!💓Celebrating a film that portrayed the power & mettle love holds.#4YearsofDhadak"

While Ishaan also shared a fan art with a sweet message for the admirers of the film. He wrote, 

“Time certainly does fly! Love to all Dhadak lovers, the team and the audience (sic)”. 

Meanwhile, the Gunjan Saxena actress also took to her Instagram account and shared the post made by the makers.

For the unversed, Dhadak told the story of a couple who came from a different status of the society and face opposition from Parthavi’s family due to their class difference. However, Madhukar and Parthavi run away to be with each other and make a life from themselves from the scratch. How it turns out and meets a tragic end formed the rest of the story.

Talking about the work front Janhvi is shooting for her upcoming project Bawaal and also prepping for the release of her OTT film Goodluck Jerry. While Ishaan will be seen in Phone Bhoot alongside Katrina Kaif and Siddhant Chaturvedi.
