It’s been 14 years since Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara hit the screens, and yet, the charm of this cult classic still feels fresh. Now in 2025, Hrithik Roshan has once again sparked excitement among fans by teasing the possibility of a sequel.
During a recent appearance at the Rangotsav event in Atlanta, USA, Hrithik was asked to describe Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara in just one word. But he went beyond that and said, “I’ll describe it in five words. It’s really ‘Freedom from the shatters of the mind.’ That’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.”
Of course, the big question followed—will there be a sequel? And that’s when Hrithik gave an answer that sent fans into a frenzy. With a smile, he replied, “Meri jo instincts hain, woh keh rahi hain ki aisa hoga. Kab hoga, pata nahi, but hoga.” This one line was enough to light up social media with hopes and dreams of ZNMD 2.
The film, directed by Zoya Akhtar, was released in 2011 and starred Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, and Abhay Deol. Their road trip across Spain, packed with self-discovery, fear-facing challenges, and deep friendship, touched hearts across the nation. Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin added their own magic to the story.
Even the music—from Senorita to Der Lagi Lekin—remains unforgettable. But beyond the songs and stunning visuals, it was the message of the film that stayed with people. ZNMD taught everyone to live in the moment and embrace life as it comes.
Earlier too, Farhan Akhtar had said, “We all want the sequel to happen. We all hope that Zoya will come up with something for the sequel.” Though nothing is confirmed yet, Hrithik’s latest comments have surely brought back hope.
While fans wait, Hrithik is busy with War 2 and also working on Krrish 4, where he’s returning as the superhero and also directing the film. But when it comes to ZNMD 2, we say—shayad waqt aa gaya hai fir ek safar ka.
