Happy Birthday Varun Dhawan!

Junior Dhawan was born on 24^th April 1987, only to make the stars of Hindi cinema shine even brighter in the years to come. Born to film director David Dhawan and wife Karuna Dhawan with a silver spoon in his mouth, Dhawan has left no stone unturned to prove his passion and talent for acting, dancing and stage performances. His older sibling Rohit Dhawan, who is known to be Junior Dhawan's pillar of strength is a renowned film director as well.

A fact not known to many, Dhawan began his journey in Bollywood as an assistant to ace director Karan Johar, for the film My Name Is Khan (2010). Having learnt from the best, Dhawan gave his debut in 2012 with the now blockbuster flick, Student of the Year alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt. With just his first movie, Dhawan became a heartthrob and received his very first Filmfare nomination for Best Debut Male. 

In the year 2014 he proved that he is not just a star kid because of his last name, but also possesses the essential ingredients to be a called a superstar in today's era. Dhawan gave consecutive brilliant performances in Main Tera Hero and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya, which not only took him a notch higher in the acting field, but also earned a million plus fan following. With the recent release of his crime-thriller film Badlapur (2014), he has successfully proven that he can face any challenging role whether it is comedy, romance or even a power-packed action drama. All the films Dhawan has stared in till date have seen commercial success globally.

His upcoming releases include the much talked about sequel to Remo D'Souza's Any Body Can Dance. The movie is titled ABCD2 and Dhawan will be seen shaking a leg opposite Shraddha Kapoor. Following this, his next release will be Rohit Shetty's romantic comedy Dilwale alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Kriti Sanon. Yet another film in his hand is his brother's tentatively titled venture, Dhishoom with John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez. All these movies are slated for a 2015 release.
