Actor Varun Dhawan, who is gearing up for the release of his dark and intense drama "Badlapur", says he is very passionate about his films and treats every project like his "child".

For him "every film I do is like my child".

"When I do a film, I don't feel that 'Oh, he's the director of this film so it is his film'. I think the amount of love I have for a film, I can challenge anyone on the film. I can give my life for my films," the 27-year-old said here Monday during a road show to promote "Badlapur".

Varun made his acting debut with "Student of the Year" in 2012 and has done films like "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" and "Main Tera Hero". Besides "Badlapur", he will be seen in dance based film "ABCD 2".

"Badlapur", directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Dinesh Vijan, also featuures Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Huma Qureshi. It is slated to release Feb 20.
