Diwali & Eid Dhamaka in Bollywood This Year

After the much awaited Singh is Kinng and Bachna Ae Haseeno have released, there is pretty much a dry spell in Bollywood till October. Except Farhan Akhtar's Rock On, there aren't many big releases lined up till Eid on October 2nd. An interesting Diwali and Eid line up this year as many biggies will be clashing and the Bolly Curry team shows you the crystal ball as to what is coming up during the festive season this year...

On October 2nd. for Eid Goldie Behl's DRONA starring Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Kay Kay Menon, Jaya Bachchan & Sanjay Dutt will hit the theaters. The movie is a of one man's spectacular journey through the maze of mystic myths and legends. A breath taking journey of mythic heroes and malevolent magicians, Drona takes you on a ride through crafty curses in a world where spells can turn a man into a stone. This is a world of illusions will provide a thrilling ride with lots of magic, spells, and fearless adventures.
Another movie which make its way in October is ROADSIDE ROMEO by Yash Raj Films. A unique animated film which brings together Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor for the voice overs, this movie is out to create a different genre in Indian Cinema. What's more is that Yash Raj and Walt Disney are joining hands together to bring this film based on a rich, cool, spoiled bratty dog who is abandoned on the streets of Mumbai. The film is about the situations and problems he encounters and is slated to release o 24th October. Quite a treat for all of us who are young at heart!

Making the festive season even more fun and to give Roadside Romeo some competition comes Priyadarshan's comedy BILLO BARBER with Shahrukh Khan, Irfaan Khan and Lara Dutta. Based on the "Krishna-Sudama" friendship, the story portrays the friendship of the two central characters across different stages in life when one is rich and the other poor. Billo Barber will hopefully be a great comedy bringing laughter into our lives during the festive days of Diwali!

The festivities will continue in November as Dostana, Golmaal Returns, Yuvraaj and later on Chandni Chowk To China, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Ghajjini will premiere on the big screen! Wow that's nine huge films with so much star power making their way to the big screen in just the span of three months! Looks like alot of fireworks are heading towards us from B-Town!!!
