Diljit Dosanjh Gears Up for Met Gala 2025 Debut – Desi Vibe Goes Global

Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh is all set to take over the global fashion scene yet again. After ruling the stage at Coachella and making a stylish impression at Paris Fashion Week, Diljit will now be seen walking the red carpet at the Met Gala 2025. This marks his debut at the prestigious fashion event, and fans are beyond excited.

The Met Gala, known for its grand fashion moments, will be held on May 5 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. It’s one of the most awaited nights in the world of glamour, and Diljit’s presence will definitely add a desi touch to the international spotlight.

The singer-actor took to his Instagram Stories to confirm the news in his own unique style. In his first post, he simply wrote, "First time" with an hourglass emoji on a black background. He even used rapper Gunna’s 2020 track MET GALA as background music, giving a musical hint about his upcoming appearance.

Later in the day, Diljit shared a behind-the-scenes picture that made his fans even more curious. He posted a photo of a welcome hamper from the Met Gala organisers, which added further confirmation that he’s officially part of this year’s guest list.

While Diljit is making headlines, Bollywood’s King Khan – Shah Rukh Khan – and the gorgeous Kiara Advani have also reached New York. Both actors will be making their Met Gala debut alongside Diljit. It looks like this year’s red carpet will have a strong Indian presence.

Priyanka Chopra will also attend the event. This will be her fifth Met Gala appearance. She will walk the carpet with Balmain’s creative director, Olivier Rousteing.

The theme for Met Gala 2025 is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, celebrating over 300 years of Black fashion and Dandyism. The dress code is “Tailored To You”. The event is co-chaired by stars like Pharrell Williams, Colman Domingo, A$AP Rocky, Lewis Hamilton, and Anna Wintour. LeBron James will serve as honorary co-chair.

Meanwhile, Diljit is also gearing up for his next single Buck with K-pop star Jackson Wang, dropping on May 9. His Dil-luminati Tour across USA, Canada, and India was a huge success.
