This year’s Met Gala theme, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," was inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion and focuses on menswear. It’s the first time in over two decades that the event is centered entirely on menswear, exploring how Black dandies have used fashion to shape their identities across the Atlantic diaspora.
