Kiara Advani’s Met Gala Glow Captured in New Video as She Calls Debut ‘Extra Magical’

Bollywood actor Kiara Advani, who made her debut at the 2025 Met Gala, has shared her thoughts days after walking the red carpet. Taking to Instagram, the actor posted an unseen video of her appearance, where she was seen flaunting her baby bump for the first time.

The caption accompanying the video reflected her emotional state after the global event. “Still soaking it all in… Grateful for all the love, kindness, and celebration,” she wrote. “Thank you for showing up for my Met Gala debut in such a big way, making my special moment extra magical. Your messages, cheers, and love mean the world,” she added.

Kiara, who is expecting her first child with actor-husband Sidharth Malhotra, described her debut appearance as more than just fashion. She revealed that her look was built on a powerful theme of courage and self-expression. “We built our vision of ‘Bravehearts’ on the spirit of the Black Dandy — they who challenge norms and reshape culture, with a spirit of grace and strength, and the drive for self-expression and recognition,” her post noted. She further added, “They who dare to be different, who celebrate individuality, and who use fashion as a tool for empowerment and social commentary.”

The 2025 Met Gala’s theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, focused on menswear and the legacy of Black dandies. Inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion, the event explored how Black men have historically used fashion to define identity and spark dialogue within the Atlantic diaspora.

Kiara’s participation added to the growing list of Indian celebrities representing the country on the international stage. Along with her, Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra also walked the red carpet this year.

On the professional front, Kiara will next be seen in War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji. She stars alongside Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in the action drama. The teaser is slated for release on May 20, with the film expected to hit theatres on August 14, 2025. She was last seen in Game Changer opposite Ram Charan.
