Did You Know: Shah Rukh Khan Rejected DDLJ Four Times Before Finally Agreeing To Do It

That's the thing about iconic films. You can never get enough of the trivia attached to it especially if it is as ault a film like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. The much-loved longest-running Bollywood film of all time starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol does have its own share of trivia and fun facts attached to it but one of them specifically is really mind-boggling.

It is no secret that this Aditya Chopra directorial played a huge role in SRK’s career and also established him as the king of romance in the industry. However, we are almost certain you didn't know that Khan actually refused to be a part of the film, not one, not two but four times. Yes! It was only the fifth time that Khan gave a nod to the film.

You would also remember how several other actors were initially approached to be a part of the film but rejected. However, even in that list one name baffled the minds of many where it is known that Hollywood biggie Tom Cruise was initially considered to play Raj. No jokes. Nevertheless, it seems that Khan was ultimately meant to do the film and of course, we certainly don't know what would DDLJ have been without Khan and how would Khan's career have shaped up owing to the film.
