Rocking Star Yash is preparing for the release of his highly awaited action film, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. Now the makers have finally announced the release date of the film after all the buzz and speculations surrounding it. This release date coincides with major Indian festivals like Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, and Chaitra Navratri, followed by Eid-al-Fitr on March 20/21. With a four-day extended weekend, the film is expected to attract a large audience across the country. The first look of the film was released earlier causing a frenzy amongst fans and hinting at Yash's character splashed with swag and charisma.
This Thursday release is a significant moment for Kannada cinema, giving it a wider global presence. Toxic is the first major Indian film to be conceptualized, written, and filmed in both Kannada and English. It brings together talent from Indian and international cinema, aiming for a worldwide appeal. To reach a broader audience, the film will be dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and other languages.

Along with the release date announcement, a new poster for Toxic has been revealed. The image features Yash emerging from flames, hinting at an intense action experience. A mysterious silhouette in the background adds intrigue, giving a glimpse into the film’s world. This poster follows the viral birthday teaser from earlier this year, offering more insight into what the film has to offer.
The film is directed by Geetu Mohandas, an internationally recognized filmmaker known for her unique storytelling. She has won awards such as the National Award and the Global Filmmaking Award at the Sundance Film Festival. Her involvement adds to the film’s anticipation. The film also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara and Akshay Oberoi in pivotal roles.
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The film’s grand release on March 19, 2026, is expected to be a major event for Indian cinema.
