Dhadak duo Janhvi Kapoor-Ishaan Khatter to feature in Dear Comrade’s Hindi remake!

Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh, which is the Hindi remake of Vijay Deverakonda's Arjun Reddy has turned to be a smashing blockbuster at the box office. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has already become the biggest Bollywood grosser of 2019, which in turn has pioneered a great boost to the cult of remakes of hit South films. Another film of the Telugu star is set to get a remake in Bollywood. Dharma Productions head honcho Karan Johar seems to be dazzled by Deverakonda's Dear Comrade that he announced the film's Hindi remake even before its official release!

KJo showed great interest in the gripping storyline of Dear Comrade and post the announcement of the remake, netizens were on a speculation spree about the new cast of the reprised version of the film. Narrowing the conjecture to two names, a report in the Times of India has reported that Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter are Karan's first choice for the Hindi remake!

The duo made their splendid debut with Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak, which again was a remake of Marathi hit film, Sairat. The film crossed the 100 crore mark on the box office and the sizzling chemistry between the two-star kids was highly appreciated by the audience. Now, it looks like Johar wants to recreate the same magic once again with the Dhadak duo in the remake of the South action drama

It was on July 23 that Karan Johar took to Twitter to announce the news of the Hindi remake.  Sharing the poster of Dear Comrade, KJo wrote, "Stunning and powerful love story! With top notch performances and exceptional music by @justin_tunes. On point debut direction by @bharatkamma. @TheDeverakonda is BRILLIANT as is @iamRashmika. Well done @MythriOfficial! ANNOUNCING that @DharmaMovies to REMAKE this beautiful film."

Talking of the Dhadak duo, the two have often been linked together and the rumors of them dating are high on the buzz too. The two young actors are spotted together a number of times and their social media banter is something which leaves their fans delighted!

Meanwhile, on the work front, Janhvi has wrapped up a schedule of RoohiAfza in Agra. The film is a horror-comedy and also stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead role. She will also be seen in Gunjan Saxena biopic and Dostana 2 alongside Kartik Aaryan. Ishaan, too will soon be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s untitled film opposite Ananya Pandey.
