Confirmed: Saif to star in Hindi remake of 'Chef'

Saif Ali Khan has been roped in to play the lead in Jon Favreau hit "Chef," released in 2014, which grossed $46 million worldwide.

Abundantia Entertainment, Eros International and Alumbra Entertainment will co-produce the remake and Eros will distribute the film worldwide.

In "Chef", Favreau played a professional chef who quits his job at a popular Los Angeles restaurant and reinvents himself with a food truck. Saif will play the role in the Hindi-language remake. He was also seen playing a chef in "Salaam Namaste" (2005), opposite Preity Zinta.
