Bahu ke 'Teeke Tevar'...

The hilarious tug-of-war between Saas and Bahu continues on SAB TV’s popular show ‘Main kab Saas Banoongi’ and without doubt, this battle transcends on the sets of the show as well. The comic duo of Bharati Achrekar (Saraswati) who plays the over bearing Saas and Vandana Pathak (Sheela Devi) who essays the role of her Bahu have brought splits of laughter to the viewers. Not sparing anyone from their comic mayhem, the cast and crew on the sets of the rib-tickling show are constantly attacked with jokes and funny instances by the duo.

Besides being funny and extremely talented, it is common knowledge on the sets of ‘Main Kab Saas Banoongi’ that Vandana Pathak is an excellent cook! There is absolutely no questioning this particular fact because Bharti Achrekar herself keeps boasting about her ‘Bahu’s’ cooking skills. To prove this, the entire cast on the sets decided to put her to test.  

Following the idea, Bharti Achrekar decided to play a prank on Vandana. She invited the entire cast and crew to lunch that would be specially cooked by Vandana Pathak herself. Being a good sport that she is, Vandana was all ready for her Saas’s challenge. She cooked a lip-smacking meal for around 20 unit members. But deciding to have some fun of her own, she included one ‘special’ dish as well. 

While feasting on the fabulous meal, the unsuspecting cast and crew were led to a surprise dish by the mischievous cook. To get her revenge because of the task she had been put through, Vandana had added lots of extra spices to the very special dish. When our sources checked with Vandana she said, “Aapko toh pata hai ki main kitni achchi aur agyaakari bahu hoon. Lekin ek achchi Bahu bhi kabhi kabhi buri ho jaati hai. Toh maine socha, chalo badhiya khane ke saath saath inhe Bahu ki ‘Teekhe tewar’ bhi dikha doon.”
