Ekta Kapoor further fueled anticipation for the reboot by hinting at a politician's involvement in the new version, strongly suggesting Smriti Irani's return as the iconic Tulsi. She said, “We’re blending politics with entertainment — or rather, bringing a politician back into entertainment.”

In a recent interview, Ekta Kapoor spoke about the emotional legacy of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, stating, "I'm remaking the biggest show I've ever made. It's what gave me my identity. I faced a lot of challenges afterward, but that show is still what I'm best known for."

Sources within the production house reveal that Kyunki was initially planned to run for over 2,000 episodes. However, unforeseen corporate decisions led to the show's premature ending after approximately 1,600 episodes.  Today, with viewers still captivated by the magic of Tulsi and Mihir, Ekta is said to be determined to provide the show with the ending it was always intended to have.
