Although there had been many rumours going on in the past about Sonu Sood and Sushant Singh to have been considered for the role of Ang Lee's adaptation of Yann Martel's bestselling paperback, Life of Pi, all such buzz has been quashed in the face of recent news. Sources reveal that the role of Pi's father has landed in the lap of the very capable Irrfan Khan who will be starring opposite the rare but extremely talented Tabu.

This on-screen couple was last seen in Vishal Bharadwaj's Maqbool and Mira Nair's The Namesake both of which were not only blockbusters at BO, but also won themselves much acclaim, especially owing to these two actors.

The news has been confirmed by Irrfan's manager but a public announcement is yet to be made.

With such a powerful cast executing the script, we expect another phenomenal entertainer to be headed our way!
