Andaz Apna Apna Re-Release: 4K Version To Feature ‘Shola Shola’ Song And Dolby 5.1 Sound Upgrade

Get ready to laugh out loud once again as the classic comedy Andaz Apna Apna is making its big-screen comeback on April 25, 2025. This re-release is extra special — not only will fans enjoy the upgraded 4K visuals and Dolby 5.1 sound, but also a surprise addition: the deleted song Shola Shola.

The film’s re-release is an emotional moment for the family of late producer Vinay Sinha. His daughter, Priti Sinha, shared some nostalgic memories from the original release back in 1994. “At that time, most of the actors were out of town. Aamir bhai and Salman sir were packed with shoots. When we signed them, they were still rising stars, but in those four years, their careers took off and they became very busy. Even interviews were tough to arrange,” she said.

According to Bollywood Hungama, Amod Sinha added, “Papa had organised a premiere but none of the actors could come. Only Meenakshi Seshadri attended — and she wasn’t even part of the film! Even Raj ji (Rajkumar Santoshi) wasn’t in town. The premiere happened at Metro Cinema.”

Still, the event had a warm vibe. Namrata Sinha recalled, “Papa had many friends from customs, income tax and our relatives also joined. It was a proud moment for him — the film was made with love and struggle.”

Fast forward to now, and the excitement is real. The film will release in over 530 theatres, distributed by Cinepolis. The reworked version will also feature a unique opening credit sequence with Shola Shola playing in the background. This track was originally left out but is finally being added in this new version.

Instead of a grand premiere, the Sinha family plans a special preview for the cast including Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Raveena Tandon — if they are available. The IPL team Mumbai Indians has also joined as a brand partner. “They are promoting us with full enthusiasm,” said Priti with a smile.

For fans of Andaz Apna Apna, this re-release is a celebration of nostalgia, comedy, and cinema at its finest.
