Alia Bhatt recently expressed her admiration for Fahadh Faasil during her Cannes 2025 appearance, calling him one of the finest actors in Indian cinema. Now, joining that list is another prominent face from the South industry, who openly shared her wish to collaborate with Fahadh, regardless of the role or genre.
During a recent promotional event for her upcoming film Thug Life, Trisha Krishnan was asked about a Malayalam actor she would like to work with. She didn’t hesitate before naming Fahadh Faasil. “Without any doubt, I would say Fahadh Faasil. My wish is to act alongside him. It doesn’t matter what kind of genre the film would be; he would do an exceptional work,” she said.
The actress also added that Aavesham is one of her favourite films in recent times, and that she’s deeply impressed with Fahadh’s performances. “Aavesham is one of my favorite films, and no matter what kind of genre, I would like to work with him,” Trisha shared.
Interestingly, Alia Bhatt too had praised Aavesham and Fahadh Faasil. In her words, “Fahadh Faasil is an actor I truly admire. He is an exceptional performer. Aavesham is one of my favorite movies, and I would definitely be interested in working with him someday.” She also mentioned how grateful she feels to have worked with Roshan Mathew in Darlings, acknowledging his talent and smooth crossover into Hindi cinema.
On the work front, Trisha Krishnan will soon be seen in Thug Life, a Mani Ratnam directorial. The film, starring Kamal Haasan and Silambarasan TR, revolves around a gangster, Sakthivel Naicker, who raises a boy named Amaran. Presumed dead, Naicker later returns, sparking a deadly conflict with his foster son. The cast includes Joju George, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Abhirami, and Ashok Selvan in significant roles.
Meanwhile, Fahadh Faasil recently completed shooting Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira, a comedy helmed by Althaf Salim. He also has other projects lined up like Maareesan and a multistarrer led by Mammootty, currently known as MMMN.
