Akshay Sir smiled and said you look very confident for your first film: Sofiya Khan of Sooryavanshi

Actress Sofiya Khan made her Bollywood debut with the movie Sooryavanshi. She was seen playing the character of Lily and after the movie got released she has now been popularly known as "DeshKiBeti" because of popular dialogue in the film.

Sharing her experience of working with Akshay Kumar, she says, "It was indeed a dream come true to work with Akshay sir.  When I first met him in Bangkok I was just smiling, showing my teeth because I wasn’t able to believe that I am in front of a Mega star, who’s songs & films I have grown up listening to. I was amazed when I got to know that I will be sharing screen space with him. Honestly I wasn't able to believe."

Further Sofiya, added, ''I didn’t speak much with Akshay sir on set but just before our scene I went and told Akshay sir that it’s my first film & first dialogue in front of the camera so if I fumble I am sorry. But sir smiled and said you look very confident for your first film .That actually helped me a lot while doing the scene with him."

Lastly, sharing about the feedback she has received for her role, Sofiya said,"I am so grateful, thankful to the audience as they  have liked me as a performer & have started calling me deshkibeti. I still can't believe it and to be honest it's such an honour. I am flooded with messages, calls and DMs. I hope as an actor I am able to make our Indian film industry proud one day."
