Currently, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is in the probe by SIT (Special Investigation Team) set up by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh in regards to the police shooting on the mob that was protesting the desecration of Guru Granth Sahib.
The actor has been accused of being involved in the case as his name showed up in the previous reports by Justice 'Ranjit Singh' Commission on the sacrilege case of 2015.
While the probe was filmed, Akshay was questioned about his involvement. The actor denied all the allegations and expressed that he might be wrongfully dragged in the case.
Denying all the allegations, he said, "I don't know why I've been dragged in this case. All allegations of the meeting looks like a script of a movie. I was in Punjab in 2011 for a performance that's when I happen to meet Sukhbir Badal." He denied the allegations but mentioned that he did meet Sukhbir Badal as he was in Punjab at that time for a performance.
Akshay was also asked about his wife Twinkle Khanna's Tweet which mentioned Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was in Mumbai. In addition to it, he was also questioned regarding his meeting with Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and his involvement in the production of his films. The probe is still under process in Chandigarh as the SIT questions Akshay Kumar regarding the details of the case.
