On April 14, Prime Minister Modi marked Baisakhi and the 106th anniversary of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. He brought attention to C. Sankaran Nair, a figure many might not be familiar with. Modi highlighted Nair's prominent role as a lawyer and his high position within the British government.

Despite his influential position, Modi emphasized that Sankaran Nair chose to relinquish his power and privileges to stand against the British crown. This act of defiance, Modi stated, underscores Nair's unwavering commitment to justice and his fight against oppression. “He belonged to Kerala, and the incident happened in Punjab. He decided to fight a case on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. He fought, and he shook the foundation of the British Empire,” he said.

"Kesari Chapter 2," directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, is a period drama set to release on April 18, 2025. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R. Madhavan in key roles and is produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films.
