A few months back, Akshay Kumar shared news on his birthday about teaming up with the renowned director Priyadarshan for the movie Bhooth Bangla. Recently, Akshay Kumar went on social media to announce that filming for the film has begun. He also revealed that Bhooth Bangla is scheduled to release in theaters on April 2, 2026.

In the fresh poster of Bhooth Bangla, Akshay Kumar is shown sitting on the rooftop of a creepy house, clutching a lantern in the dark. He is garbed in a white shirt combined with a blue half-coat, a lungi, and footwear with socks.

The post read, "Beyond excited to be on set with my favourite @priyadarshan.official as we begin the shoot of our horror comedy #BhoothBangla today. Yeh darr aur hasi ka double dose aapke liye ready hoga 2nd April, 2026 ko! Tab tak ke liye aapke best wishes chahiye."

Bhooth Bangla is brought to you by Balaji Telefilms Ltd. along with Cape of Good Films. The movie is produced by Akshay Kumar, Shobha Kapoor, and Ektaa R. Kapoor. Faara Sheikh and Vedant Vikaas Bali are also on board as co-producers.
