Akshay Kumar is all set for the release of his film 'Selfiee,' which will be hitting the theatres today. The actor has been on a promotional spree and recently appeared at Aaj Tak's popular show Seedhi Baat. While Akshay Kumar is known for his tough persona and macho vibes, the actor is a total family man and all emotional regarding his close ones. In the show, Akshay Kumar remembered his mother and got emotional. 

In particular, The Khiladi of Bollywood seemed to have a close relationship with his late mother Aruna Bhatia. Akshay has frequently recalled how his mother gave him unconditional support while he was experiencing the highest peaks and low points of his acting career.

Akshay Kumar got teary-eyed as he talked about his late mother, Aruna Bhatia, during Aaj Tak's Seedhi Baat. The Selfie actor admitted that after finishing a shoot, he used to head to his mother's room. The actor recounted how talking to his mother and hearing about their day's events always made their day complete.

Akshay Kumar disclosed his mother's most important piece of advice when the host inquired about how his mother would have responded to the current slump in his acting career.

"Unki ek badi famous line hai- ‘Fikr nahi kar puttar, Babaji tere naal hai’(Don’t worry son, God is with you)," he said.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay is currently busy filming for the action film Bade Miya Chote Miyan. Tiger Shroff and Akshay will be playing the titular role in the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial. The film stars a stellar cast, including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, and others in pivotal parts.
