The Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar has made his way to become the only Bollywood actor to feature in Forbes' list of World's Highest-Paid Celebrities of 2019. The superstar has landed on the 33rd spot on the prestigious list, which is topped by singer Taylor Swift, yet again after 2016.

As per the magazine, Akki is "Bollywood's top-earning star", with an earning of at least 5-10 million USD (Rs 35-70 crore) per film. He went on to win the spot by defeating A-lister celebrities like Rihanna, Jackie Chan, Bradley Cooper, and others. Taylor, on the other hand, topped the list by beating all of them with her earnings of $185 million.

With a total earning of 65 million USD (Rs 444 crore) from June 2018-June 2019, Akshay has become the only Indian actor to feature on Forbes Highest Paid Celebrities 2019 list.

Currently, the 52-year-old actor has a number of alluring films in his kitty. With Jagan Shakti's Mission Mangal, Farhad Samji's Housefull 4, Raj Mehta's Good News, Raghava Lawrence's Laxmmi Bomb and Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi, the superstar has a list of releases awaited!

Apart from the movies, a major chunk of Akshay's earnings also come from his brand endorsements. Currently, he endorses more than 20 top brands across categories.

As per a report in Hindustan Times, Forbes compiled its 2019 list by estimating pre-tax earnings from June 2018-June 2019, before deducting fees for managers, based on data from Nielsen, touring trade publication Pollstar, movie database IMDB and interviews with industry experts and many of the celebrities themselves. The magazine said the world’s 100 highest-paid celebrities pulled in $6.3 billion pretax over the past 12 months.

On the work front, Akki is gearing up for the release of Mission Mangal which revolves around India's first interplanetary mission - the Mars Orbiter Mission. Mission Mangal also features Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen in pivotal roles.

The film will hit the theatres this Independence Day, 15 August 2019.
