Ajay Devgn's 'Raid' does a decent business on the first day!

Raid starring Ajay Devgn and Ileana D'cruz in the lead role hit the screens on Friday.

The film got released yesterday and it is said to have done a decent collection at the box-office. Approximately, 9.75 crore nett and this compares well with the opening numbers of recent Ajay Devgn starrers as it is a film that seems like which has the potential to go higher. However, a decent collection on the first day could be due not a kind of a genre that the audience would want to go and watch on the first day.

Reportedly, the opening day numbers are more or less same as "Padman". The difference being Raid is a little less in Mumbai city, Pune and South and is said to have collected more from places like UP, CP and Gujarat. Though it must be noted that despite being a UP based film the numbers in UP should have been better. UP has collected around 1 crore nett which should have been better.

However, we will be able to know the growth by the end of Saturday this weeked.
