Ajay Devgn unveils a new poster for 'Maidaan'; Announces the trailer release date

The eagerly awaited sports drama, "Maidaan," directed by Amit Sharma and starring Ajay Devgn, is set to grace the silver screen with a tribute to the golden era of Indian Football. This biographical masterpiece delves into the years 1952-1962, a period that witnessed the remarkable success of the Indian football team under the guidance of Coach Syed Abdul Rahim, celebrating victories in the Asian Games of 1951 and 1962.

Although the filming process concluded by the end of 2019, unforeseen events and challenges led to unexpected delays. Now, breaking the silence and stirring up excitement, Ajay Devgn took to Instagram to share a fresh poster for "Maidaan" and, more importantly, unveiled the much-anticipated trailer release date – 7th March 2024.

The poster itself is a visual treat, capturing the essence of the film's narrative and showcasing the dedication to portraying an extraordinary story. Ajay Devgn's caption on Instagram tantalizingly promises "an extraordinary story of a man, a team, a nation, and the unwavering belief that left an indelible mark on the history of Football!"

Beyond Ajay Devgn's powerful portrayal, "Maidaan" also features Priyamani and Gajraj Rao in crucial roles, adding depth to the ensemble cast. The teaser, released in March of the previous year, heightened fans' anticipation, setting the stage for what promises to be an exhilarating cinematic experience.

Boney Kapoor, one of the producers, shed light on the hurdles faced by the film earlier. The pandemic and unpredictable weather contributed to significant delays, leading to extended leases on filming locations and additional costs. Managing large crowds posed another obstacle, and frustrations mounted over insufficient insurance compensation for the delays.
