The recent episode of Ishqbaaaz showcased a scene where a very possessive and angry Bhavya (Mansi Srivastava) kicks Saumya (Nehalaxmi Iyer) and the latter falls unconscious.

And while some people made a very big deal out of the scene, Nehalaxmi's fans took it all wrong, got offended and started trolling the makers. And things really got nasty.

So we got in touch with 2 people integral to the story - Mansi and Gul Khan.

Mansi said, "I was reluctant to do the scene as hitting a woman personally is something that Mansi won't do . But thinking as an actor, as a cop , who has faced so many brutal criminals, Bhavya can do it as she has seen what Saumya did to the Oberoi family. And it was sort of a ninja kick to make Saumya unconscious."

Explaining her character Bhavya's reaction, Mansi elaborated, "And what will you do if a second woman wants your man too? Won't you feel like kicking the hell out of her? And anyway if any other character would have done it, it wouldn't have become such an issue. Just because Bhavya did it, it has become an issue."

Producer Gul Khan was more relaxed with her reply. She said, "They start trolling us for anything and everything we do or don't. We've been trolled on matters such as why were ShiVika (Shivaay - Anika) scenes so less today or why has Saumya been re-introduced as a negative character or why was her wedding to Rudra a fake one or even why aren't there ample Rikara (Omkara - Gauri) scenes in an episode. My advice would be to stop giving these trolls time and attention."

She continued, "We have a huge number or positive fans who are appreciating our efforts and we are very happy and grateful to the positive fans and as criticism is not a personal attack and no abusive language is used it's always welcome from fans."

Well, the scene has received as much a positive response as negative. While a few fans found it offensive, others took it in a light sense of humour.

What is your opinion on the scene?
