A R Rahman compares 'The Goat Life' to Lawrence of Arabia

The Goat Life is one of the most anticipated films of 2024, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role. To keep the momentum and buzz going on the film, post unveiling of enigmatic posters, the makers recently launched the official website. The event was held at Crowne Plaza, Kochi, in the presence of director Blessy, Oscar-winning music composer A.R. Rahman and author Benyamin, who came together to reveal the website which pulls the audience deep into the desert dream of The Goat Life. A.R.Rahman also went live from the movie’s social media handles to launch the website and share his experience working on the film. In a conversation with Blessy, Benyamin and A.R.Rahman, the team discussed how the movie and its music came into being. The Goat Life team is now gearing up for their phenomenal music launch event on 10th March 2024 in Kochi.

A.R.Rahman speaking about the music of the film, shared, “The Goat Life is a music composer’s movie in a way. The whole team has given their soul to this movie. Looking at them reaffirms my faith in cinema. Blessy has made a Malayalam ‘Lawrence of Arabia’.”

Talking about the making of the film, National Award Winner Blessy said, “The idea of the website was to acknowledge the services of all who worked on the film. The website is unique in the sense that the visuals of the desert will change from dawn to noon to dusk based on the time you view it. I went to A.R.Rahman asking him to compose one song for the film, but the collaboration went way beyond that.”

Talking about the film, writer of The Goat Days, Benyamin shared, “I am sitting in front of you with a smiling face… I have seen the film. Earlier, I had a few fears about how the film will shape up and how much it will rise above my imagination but he now can confidently say it's a film which has hugely exceeded my imagination and is of international standards.”

Speaking about the film, Associate Producer K.C.Eapen shared, “I would like to thank A.R.Rahman. This team has given Malayalam cinema a gift in the form of this film that it can be proud of.”

Produced by Visual Romance, directed by National Award Winner Blessy, the film also features Hollywood actor Jimmy Jean-Louis, Amala Paul, Indian actor K.R.Gokul, and renowned Arab actors Talib al Balushi and RikAby in pivotal roles. The Goat Life boasts of music direction and sound design by Academy Award winners A.R. Rahman and Resul Pookkutty respectively. The stunning visuals of the film have been shot by Sunil KS and the film has been edited by Sreekar Prasad.  Being shot in multiple countries around the world, the film is the biggest ever venture in the Malayalam film industry, showcasing remarkable production standards, aesthetic elements, storytelling, aspirations, and acting prowess. With its ace acting and soul-stirring background score, the film is a larger than life theatrical experience. 

The Goat Life is all set to release in theatres near you on 28th March 2024 in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
