Mrs. & Mr. Sharma Allahabad wale depicts the journey of middle class family instilled with small town values and beliefs. The head of the family, Mr. Drasht Dyumn Prasad Sharma, is a man who is happy with his family and job, grounded with his own set of beliefs and customs. On the other hand, his wife, Mrs. Rashmi Sharma, is a typical housewife who has never seen the lures and charms of a big city and has blind faith in her husband. With a prospect of a better future, Mr. Sharma accepts the offer placed to him by his company to go to Mumbai.
