Nalini’s husband Raghuveer is a man of double standards. He pretends to be a devoted husband but has roving eyes. He tries to flirt with every woman and is specially drawn to the gentle charm of Indu. But she stays far away from him, and cannot really humor him like Damini. Raghuveer is a true mischief maker for this family and adds to a lot of complications in the relationships between family members.
He is the very understanding boss of Indu. He is a widower, drawn to the charm and simplicity of Indu, who was temperamentally similar to his wife. He is rich, refined and a man of good taste who brings breath of fresh air in Indu's life. But he never oversteps his limits, and never takes advantage of his position. He has a seven year old daughter from his late wife and the daughter gets very attached to Indu when Indu starts teaching her.
She has striven all through her life to be a traditional wife and mother, just the way her husband Ramesh Saxena wanted her to be. She is the all sacrificing and overworked matriarch. Now she too looks forward to her bahus doing sewa enough to ease her old age. But she is now absent minded and forgetful which are the early signs of Alzheimer disease. She is loving and fair, and a great believer in religious rites and prayer to alleviate sufferings.
