She pushed the gun away from him and it went across the room. She had lied. The softness in her eyes were there. The suffocating feeling in his chest softened as she wrapped her arms around his neck and started to cry. He exhaled and held her by her waist.
His gun was not really loaded. Why was she lying, did she realize that her faade had been broken? She took a step back out of his arms.
"How could you do that? How would I live without you? How Shaurya? You have no right to do anything like that. If anything, ever happens to you I would die. She said, her eyes were filled with tears. Someone had done something, to take her away from him. It was clear, she was terrified of whoever it was so she kept him at a distance.
Shaurya was smarter. He pushed her away.
"You were living away from me just fine He said, Mehek choked at his worlds and fell backwards.
He bent down towards his gun to pick it up but she would not allow him to she held hugged him, her arms around his waist. Her heart was thundering against her chest.
"You don't understand. I can't live in a world where you don't exist. I can live away from you knowing that you are safe but not knowing that you are not there Lie one. He bent down and kissed her, tilting her head upwards.
Her lips were soft and sweet.
She sighed against him. The baby made a sound, making both of them pause. He let go of her and he ran his thumb over her lower lip. He could drown in the warmth of her eyes, it was far warmer than the sunshine he had ever felt.
"Will you tell me the honest truth now? He asked her. Mehek blinked as if remembering where she was and shook her head.
"Shaurya she will hurt you She whispered looking around the room.
"Who will hurt me? He asked her.
"I cant be with you. He will hurt you... She whispered pulling away.
"She is watching She took another step back.
Shaurya picked up his gun.
"If you don't tell me everything and leave I will shoot myself in my head He said again, Mehek took the gun out of his hand.
Mehek pulled him into the bathroom, she picked up the baby and went closed the door she put on the shower.
"Shaurya you don't understand if I stay here, she will kill you. She is watching us all the time
"Who?
"Fenny
"Who is Fenny?
"Sweta, she used to be my bodyguard. She kidnapped me, our first night we were together she knew about it. She had hoped I would fall pregnant so she and my brother would have leverage over you. They wanted to repay you for taking Nehal from us, by killing your child.
"Your brother...I had your brother...
"Yes, you kidnapped my brother. You kept him away from her so, she decided to separate us. She said that, she would repay you, an eye for an eye.
"I thought you hated me Shaurya whispered, Aryan looked at him while he suckled his thumb.
"She will hurt you Shaurya she is dangerous, you don't know how sick they are...
"As long as I am alive I will always keep you safe Mehek. I love you
Her eyes watered.
"I never thought I would hear that again. I love you too. Shaurya I am scared...
He entangled his hand in her hair.
"I love you He said again, "No one can keep us apart, not your brother, not your family only you can Mehek, in this life I will only allow you to take my life, only if I am dead will I let you leave me. Promise me you will never leave me ever again
Sweta was a crack. A crack he could eliminate from the wall he would build around himself with Mehek inside it. That bitch would never live to see another day, she had been so close to his son. He had allowed her to be so close. No wonder Mehek had insisted on keeping Aryan with her all the time.

He was a hard person to love there were so many layers to his character. He lived in a world wrought with violence, yet his entire world was her. She could see it in his eyes, where ever she went. His eyes would follow her every movement. He loved their baby too. When he thought no one was looking, he would hold Aryan and mumble to him about how he had no idea what he was doing.
Pretending not to love him was one of the hardest things she had ever done. Fenny had made her do it. She had threatened to hurt him.
She had threatened to hurt their baby. She had sent her photos of their baby constantly reminding her that she was not allowed to be anywhere near Shaurya, but Mehek never knew how close she was. She had been hired as Aryan's nanny.
She could have hurt her baby, whenever she wanted. Her heart hurt.
"I won't leave Shaurya
He cupped her cheek with his palm.
"You will never see her again He said, he picked up his phone and typed a message to someone. Mehek did not know what it said. She never asked him. Yet she never saw Fenny ever again.

Shaurya watched her sleeping in his bed, the baby was in the middle and she was sound asleep. He bent down and picked Aryan up. His eyes stared up at him with wonderment.
"Well you are quite big hmm, how about we let mumma sleep for a bit. He told him, Aryan made a sound.
"Shh He said, rocking him lightly the way Mehek did. Aryan looked at him so expectantly as if waiting for some fancy story from him. Shaurya wondered what could he tell him that would make him happy?
"What do you want to talk about?
Aryan made a noise. It was soft and it made him smile.
"You have the prettiest mumma in the world He said to him, Aryan smiled even more. He loved Mehek. And secondly he loved hearing about her.
"Yes you do He told him making him laugh.

Shaurya could see the dragon holding Aryan and playing with him. While her kid ran into his legs and gave him a pout. Shaurya held out a chocolate from his pocket and the kid smiled and took it and ran away. After meeting Mehek Shaurya had learned that, if you wanted someone to do what you wanted you needed to always have chocolate around.
Mehek noticed what he had done and smiled, she came to his side and pulled her close, wrapping his arms around her. He kissed the top of her head, Vicky and Nehal both cringed at them.
"You know Mehek, I always knew you would have a life like this but I never knew it would be with that thing Nehal said pointing at him with a shudder. Aryan smacked her, and Shaurya laughed taking him out of her arms and hugging him.
His kid did not like the dragon either.
Mehek apologised for him.
"Aryan don't hit your mosi
"Please hit her, kid. Kids are allowed to right He said, Nehal glared at him.
"Very funny Khanna She said.
Ravi came into the drawing room, where they all were. His eyes were tired but seeing his daughters he smiled. Nobody had asked Mehek a question, Shaurya had made sure to keep everything that way. He did not want her to be reminded of anything in the past.
This was there future.

Mehek looked into his eyes as she lay in his arms.
"Sometimes when you hold me it scares me thinking about how many people you have killed She admitted softly.
"It scared me a lot, it scared me when you did it... He knew it had hurt her. He had been an awful son of a bitch to a girl that did not deserve it.
"I am sorry He said, pushing her hair behind her ear.
"I wanted you to never leave me He traced her cheek with his finger.
"I saw someone die far worse She said, looking lost for a second.
"When I was a kid a man tried to kidnap me, my father tortured and killed him. I was unable to eat for days She said, He closed his eyes.
"I am sorry He whispered softly, Mehek reached out and ran her fingers against his cheek.
"I love you, I loved you the minute, you fell into my arms and called me an angel. I loved you when you fumbled over everything to win me over, I loved you when you came home angry, I loved you when I watched you on the news for all the wrong reasons She said to him.
"And I would love you no matter what She said taking his hand she held it over her heart.
"I am sorry He whispered again, brokenly. She was so pure. So untainted. So perfect.
"I know I don't deserve you but I will never let you go He said hugging her against him.
She loved him, even at his ugliest. She loved him.
Love was like that, you loved a person, in good times and bad times. Through thick and thin, through their darkest and most horrible times. Through everything. A bitch like Fenny had almost ruined his happily ever after with his angel. But nothing would now. Not her crazy family, not any enemy no one.
He would make sure of it.
