Chapter 17

It was three days since diwali now . we were planning for our next round . me and Mahesh and rajiv were in my cabin where we were discussing about the chef that we want for our next round. We have planned a competition where every contestant will be given a professional chef as their helping partner and will prepare a dish . our list of chef was almost done . only two chefs were left . we were deliberately selecting such chefs who have an experience of one year as we don't want to biased towards anyone by giving any contestant an expert chef making the win easy for them plus we have decided we will be using one negative point of the professional chef as a drawback for the team . " I feel chef jyoti point that she is allergic to soya milk will be a nice drawback for her with chef neha team said rajiv . " I agree . I replied . "so our forth chef and contestant team is also selected . now only two contestant are left Rahaul and mrs hema kakar . said Mahesh . " Rahul is already experienced chef we need someone who is totally a drawback for Rahul said rajiv . "what could be something that where Rahul lacks I questioned in a general . we all started thinking . when Mahesh came out with a solution . " I read in his profile that he has always been cooking non indian cuisine. Never once it is mentioned that he has worked for Indian cusine , there is a slight possibility that he may not be good in Indian dishes " said Mahesh . " now we need to team up him with someone who is also not good in Indian food. I said . " chef marina , she has done her graduation from france and we all know she was never a fond of Indian food said rajiv . " yes , being professional chef , ofcourse they would be able to cook any Indian food but I will give them such a dish which they would have never heard even I smirked saying that. I have reached the venue of ISC well before in time from the competition to start , as it was asked to me by priya , shaurya PA . as I entered I saw few familiar faces from heritage they were chefs there . I talked to them wishing them when I came to know that shaurya has called them yesterday and has asked them to reach the ISC venue for todays competition . I saw moushmi ma'am and I approached her . " hello ma'am " I wished her . she turned back and saw me . " hi mehek " she side hugged me while saying that . " good that you came we need to rehearse she said in her full professional enthusiasm . " rehearse for what " I asked her, being surprised . " for todays round about , you people entry and all " she explained . looking at my alice in wonderland look she asked me , shaurya said he has informed everyone in prior about this. " about what " I asked her , being total oblivious . " you are one of the professional chef who will be teamed up with one of the contestants " she said being a little afirm . " mehek , you really don't know about this. He has called and informed every chef yesterday only about this " she asked me being little confused just like me but my amount of confusion was higher than hers . " shaurya all the chefs are here " I heard rajiv sir shouting this to shaurya calling him , when he just entered the backstage . I looked at the back stage entry . he was approaching us and rajiv sir with Mahesh were also coming to where we all chef were standing with moushmi ma'am . he didn't faced me once " good that you all came prior to time , now please summit your phones to Mahesh till this competition is over " shaurya said . " sir you asked us that we would be needed at ISC for next round but what would be our role asked chef jyoti from heritage . All of us 6 professional chef were introduced as rehearsal were done . a little introduction about us all was done and it was made cleared that we would be paired with each of the contestant and our dish would be given after the team of chef and contestants are made . till now Three teams were made and only three were left . Rahul , mrs hema and Vishwas were left . I was just praying to be teamed up with Rahul so that I don't have to complete opposite to him . but next words from mrs aggarwal voice made me stop all my prayers . Rahul was teamed up with chef marina . I saw his face . it was low. He looked at me and I guessed like me he also wishes to be teamed up with me . I just passed a smile to him . next rajiv sir announced my name and asked me my preference " sir I am okay with both , I hardly know anyone to prefer " I replied . " but if Rahul would have been one of the choices , would you have given the same answer " shaurya asked me with narrowed eyes . I looked at him . why he loves to put me In trouble " I am here as chef sir , not as a family member . does my choice matter here " I asked him back . " I will work with full determination for the contestant , I will be paired with " I added . he gave a smirk while rajiv sir just smiled . I went and stood next to mrs hema kakad. she smiled to me and I smiled back . she extended her hand for handshake and I did it . " hi mehek " she said . I replied her back " hi . Once all the teams were made , now the judges have started giving the specific task to the teams . from what task are been given to three teams till now , I could conclude one thing only that he has deliberately selected the chef for the contestant , keeping in mind their common weakness . a thought came into my mind what could be Rahul and chef marina's weakness . both have studied from known universities , what is the thing that is common as their drawbacks . " Rahul and chef marina , please step forward said shaurya . a spot boy kept a dish in front of them . from a distance I was unable to see what it is . shaurya asked both of them to taste it and they did . from where I was standing I could only see shaurya face not of Rahul and marina. " what it taste like he asked them with curious and amused look . " its tangy and spicy I heard Rahul saying it . " is this Indian asked marina . " yes very much Indian . infact made in north india by a very common vegetable, which is its main ingredient he explained . " I have never tasted it before I heard Rahul . I was tensed for him " me too " added marina . shaurya gave them a cunning smile and then he saw me and then his smirk widened . " okay let me give you a clue . its made from the stem or base of vegetable which generally we don't add in vegetables . he said . I started thinking what could be such a thing . . " mehek you know na , today I am having fast and I can't taste anything , so be very vigilant , please " I heard mrs hema . I looked at her and nodded . " flower given to a girl , she may mot like it " marina repeated the clue . I put my brain again to that. Aesa kaunsi sabzi hai , phool jaise ( what is such a vegetable that Is like a flower) I thought and suddenly my mind answered , phoolgobi , ( cauliflower) . I raised my head to where they all were standing and was about to say it when I heard " stop it miss Sharma , even if you know the answer , you can't say that shaurya shouted from the distance . I pouted my lips on the disappointment . Rahul turned his face to me and looked like he was asking for it . "you have time to think mr phian and chef marina ( they both turned their faces to shaurya ) and if you need help . what I can give you solution with a price . we would be telling you the name of the vegetable and its ingredients and 1 points will be deducted from your final score out of 10 . think till others get their task " he said and called the other team . Rahul and marina came back to their place . which was ahead from mine . while coming back he looked at me . looked like he was asking what to do . I have to help him. if he asked to shaurya for the name , his one point will be deducted . already he is unknown to dish and if it is not good , deduction of one point is risky . I have to help him without letting shuarya know it . " the dish is called dandal . it is made from only the base of cauliflower . its not commom these day . grandmothers used to make it . said mrs hema . I looked at her little surprised . she smiled to me . " I know Rahul is like a family to you . even he talks a lot about you . when we chat in free time . good boy . you can help him . if you want . I won't mind . " she said with smile . I looked at her being little amused . that is so sweet of her that she is letting her partner to help a opponent of her . she is so good at heart . " next team " shaurya called us . we both reached our place . as soon as we reached I saw his famous let me scare you smirk . I gave a annoyed look to him . without saying he just lifted the lid of the pan kept in front of us . I saw gravy dish with some pieces but when its aroma strike my nostrils I just guess it right . I was little terrified " its non veg I said in a scary tone . " good miss Sharma , you are right . are you sure you are a vegetarian , I mean you smelled it and guessed it " he asked me tauntingly . I looked at him being annoyed from his comment . " but this is not just plain chicken , it's a special chicken , you have to taste it to know the ingredients he said . " I will not taste it " I said loud and clear . he smirked on that . he is doing all this deliberately . " I guessed it right.then ( he smirked ) , I guess mrs kakad , you have to taste it then , your partner chef has raised her hand " he said to mrs hema . I looked at hema . I know she is fasting . I looked at her apologetically . she looked back at me not with disappointed look but with a questioning look. She took a sigh " sir can I get same offer that Rahul had . solution with the price she asked . I was stunned . I mean from my view . either you are stupid to take that risk or you are so over confident on your cooking skills that you think u can score above 8 so deduction of one mark won't matter to you . shaurya said . she gave smile on his statement . " its both sir . I am stupid also to ask for such a thing and I am over confident also not on my self but on my husbands taste skills she said cheerfully . " what do you mean he asked being a little annoyingly surprised . " sir I used to eat chicken but from few years I have left it due to some issues but my husband still loves nonveg and is a big chicken lover . so I do make chicken for him . I have made every sort of chicken what ever he asked and knowing his chicken knowledge . I have full faith on him that he will tell me the correct ingredients of the dish she explained in brief . " but as a chef , still there are many things that he would not be knowing like , the cooking method or the specific spices that are used.. shaurya was cut in between by mrs hema . " I know my husband sir , the way he will define the taste , I will get to know the inside and out of the dish , be it the cooking method or the spicies . she said confidently . I was amused . " okay then , be ready to pay the price , call mr kakad from the audience " said shaurya . he looked a bit agitated . mr kakad was called and was asked to taste the chicken . he looked a fine jolly fellow . he just tasted and had a big smile on his face " its murg makhani hema he said with confidence . " creamy when tasted first and then tangy . gonna taste better with rice he replied to him . " whats that gonna tell her " shaurya asked mr kakad. " mrs kakad smiled and replied to shaurya . sir yeh miya biwi ki tunning hai , sirf shadi shuda ko hi samajh aati hai. She said giving a teasing laugh to shaurya, he rolled his eyes to me on that comment while crowd chuckle . I just lowered my eyes and side my hairs behind my ears .

Once all the teams were given their respective dishes , we were asked to go to supermarket area where all the ration items were kept, to collect the required items . me and hema both rushed , I saw Rahul who was having a deep discussion with merina . may be he was thinking about taking shaurya offer . I didn't wanted that already he is not sure about the dish , he can't risk to deduct one point . so I decided I will help him . mrs hema is also fine with , me helping Rahul . I was looking at Rahul so that to pass him message to come to supermarket area . and he did and got my message too . he joined me that area . he stood next to me . I was about to say something when shaurya khanna entered that premesis . i ignored Rahul and pretended to be busy In collecting my stuff. Rahul also guessed my reason for behaving so and he too got busy . I was peeping to look , where was shaurya when I saw him talking to neha . " yaha par bhi isse baat kar rahi hai yeh ladki( here too this girl is talking to him ) " I thought . I felt my comment strange . from when I started observing who talks to whom . I thought . I heard shaurya laughing . I looked at him . I felt irritated with his laughter. " kitna vehla time hai na iske pass dusron ki baatien par hasne ka( how much free time he has na to laugh on others talks ) I complained about him to myself only while he was busy in talking to neha. A thought came in my mind that this is the perfect timming for me to help Rahul . I picked up a cauliflower and slowly slowly sneaking out from his sight and peeping on shaurya , I reached Rahul . as my hand touched his basket he asked what using his head moment . I was looking at shaurya he was still busy with neha . I picked the cauliflower from my bucket and placed it in his bucket and pointed at the base of it . Rahul looked keenly at it . then a smile came on his face and his eyes widens . I winked at him and moved to other area . once I was done with the list of things mrs hema asked me to bring , I decided to leave the supermarket area . I was going towards exit where these two shaurya and neha were still talking to each other and giggling . I passed them when shaurya stopped me . " you got the chicken miss Sharma he asked a nasty question . I looked at him with dagger eyes . he enjoy troubling me . " mrs hema will get that , she very well understand I don't even touch chicken I said with firm voice. " then how will you help her in this by singing motivational song like kadam kadam badaye ja ? he asked raising his eyebrow. Neha chuckle on his comment . making the gravy and marinate mixture ." I replied . he pressed his lips and smiled saying " all the best then " . I was about to move when I stopped to neha , sirf do minute baki hai neha saman lene ke liye , inse baat karke time mat waste karo ( only two minutes are left neha to collect the things , don't waste your time here talking to him ) I said the last line looking at him. he smirked on my comment and I left . I heard neha asking what but I heard nothing from shaurya . I reached my place and started mixing all the spices and oil for marinate mixture , while mrs hema was cleaning the chicken . I was busy in work when mrs hema commented , " you did helped your friend then " . I looked at her. She pointed at Rahul working station . he was cutting cauliflower to get its base . I smiled and looked at mrs hema and said , thank you for helping . not everyone is generous like you to help their opponent I said with gratitude . " its nothing big yaar . I know why Rahul wanna win this competition , he told me once . he is a good kid you see . I see his concern for his brother arjun , I think how much I love my children and wanna protect them . plus he is good in his work too. She said while chopping chicken . I smiled knowing her good heart views . " but shaurya is also so good in his work yaar . I mean he deliberately gave me you as a partner and then gave us ,two non nonveg eaters a nonveg dish and even he gave Rahul and marina a Indian dish like dandal , which many of people would have not even heard , he is clever she added. I looked at shaurya who was talking to Mahesh about something. " yes he is a chalak lombdi ( clever fox) I commented . mrs hema laughed on my comment which did gather everyone attention . she gave an embarrassing look to everyone and then said sorry . " we should concentrate on our work now she said to me and we both got busy in our work .

We have kept the chicken for marination and mean while we were preparing our gravy with tomatoes , cream and all , only chicken adding was left . mrs hema was preparing to add the chicken while I was stiring the gravy , saw shaurya approaching us . he came and stood in front of our counter with his hands folded in front of his chest . , the gravy smells good " he commented with a stern face . the look on his face made me think , is he here just for giving this comment . " even your friends dish smells good miss Sharma " he said . I doubt on his intention of saying that . " I thought he would not be able to get the dish , but to my surprise he did. When I asked him how he cracked it , he said he broke that puzzle hint . clever he was right his question was more like a comment . his scanting eyes were troubling my heart . I had a fear look on my face , my lips were drying , did he came to know that I helped Rahul, I asked my self . " do you take me as a fool " he asked placing his hands on the counter . mrs hema also stood next to me . he knows it I was confirmed now . that anguish and annoyed look said it all . " what happened sir " mrs hema asked . " do you take me as a fool miss Sharma . he asked with grinding his teeth . I turned my face to left . I did a big mistake I felt . he left the counter . I looked at his back when he was leaving . " what he was saying mehek mrs hema asked being worried . " he came to know , that I helped Rahul said being tensed . " what will he do then she asked . All contestant were done with platting and now it was tasting time . in between all this time I tried to look at shaurya but he didn't gazed once at me . I was worried all this time on how he will react .i know him at least this much now that he doesn't like people over smarting him . he always like things in his control . the way he likes it . I don't wanted Rahul to suffer because of my mistake . this win is so important for him . what if shaurya disqualified him or mrs hema . I was getting sweat thinking about all this . " next team Rahul and marina step forward " I heard shaurya saying . they both went ahead to judges . " whats the name of your dish marina asked shaurya with a serious face . " we have named it gobi sticks " she said cheerfully . " tell me how you guessed the name " asked shaurya to both . " sir Rahul did she answered . he looked at me and then shifted his gaze to Rahul. I just looked at his eyes . it was at blaze , why he is so sore and unhearted . why he can't just let one mistake of mine go being unreturned from his anguish . lets taste their dish " he said calling the other judges . I free my self from Rahuls hold and steped a forward . " shaurya , she is not at any fault " I said in broken voice. He looked at me . his gaze was stern and cold . " its for you . so that you think twice before helping others ,when not even asked and for mrs hema so that she is less over confident as she has already put herself at stake by offering one point to judges ,in advance . every point matter heres mehek he said. And straight went on tasting Rahuls dish . I was looking at his only . he stood there like nothing happened while he sabotaged my mind . I had no hope from him better to leave . I went back to my station . I didn't even heard judges remarks on Rahul's dish. I placed my hand on counter balancing myself on my hands and closed my eyes . my eyelashes were wet from the longing tears that wanted to come out but I had stopped them . felt a hand on my shoulder " its okay mehek . forget everything . you were right he is a jerk " I heard mrs hema . I kept my eyes close only . I was upset with myself only . It was turn of fifth contestant , whose dish was being taste . I was just praying to god for Rahul and mrs hema's marks to be good . I wiped my unshed tears and prepared my self for judgment of our dih.

" last team , step forward I said calling mehek and mrs hema. Both were looking upset . since the time Rahul judgment was done , I was looking at mehek every other second . she had her eyes closed . she would be upset but if she is so stupid to believe that I will not observe her while I am talking to neha , then she needed a lesson . I gave her friend a fair chance for help , he didn't took . now they both payed the price. Emotions have no place in competition and if I would have ignored it , that would have been unfair to other contestant . mrs hema placed her dish in front of me . she had an angry and upsetting look . " tell us about your dish mrs hema " rajiv asked her . " sir its murg makhani , a Punjabi cusine , very famous in Amritsar . made up with boneless chicken in tomatoes gravy served with cream and butter " she explained all this with uninterested tone . is she giving me attitude . I hope she is not following mehek Sharma . who is standing along with her in complete silence like a statue . " already two points are less from your final result mrs hema , your dish needs be perfect I asked her trying to make her more vulnearable . she gave an terrible look like she wanna kill me but replied with utter confidence , sir my dish will make you want more of it " . she was so confident , another middle class over confident on her cooking talent. Time to bring her to reality. Looks like you are so very confident about your dish . it would have tasted yummy to you then " I asked her irking her more . she was bit perplexed . , I didn't tasted it sir she said being more annoyed . " then who will do that , miss Sharma can't . we all know that " I looked at mehek after saying the last line . she gave a stun look but there was something I saw in her eyes which did pinched me . a look of worn out by me . she looked surprised when she knew I could do that also . I ignored my feelings on her state . I looked back at mrs hema . who was surprised and little scare , sir, iam fasting today . its against my belief . I only eat fruits on such days " I heard her in firm but non comforting tone. " not my problem mrs hema . why should I eat something made by a chef . when she is not ready to taste it prior herself . why should I take the risk . I questioned her pushing her more . " shaurya this is not needed " I head rajiv whispering in my ear from back . " you don't feel the need but I do " I shut him with my words . I looked back at mrs hema she wanted to kill me she had that looks . " or we can have another solution with a price I said . she was surprised . " if you didn't tasted it before we did , then one point more will be deducted from your final score " my words did astound everyone there but I was looking at mrs hema only. She was shockingly astound . " come on mrs hema , you are very confident about your dish . I believe you can take this risk rather than tasting your own dish one time " I said total jeopardizing her situation . she was definitely at loss of words " your total scoring still could be 7 , which will be not that bad. As you so sure about your dish ,without tasting it . I said teasing her state more . when I heard something unbelievable . I will taste it I heard mehek . I was surprised , it would be an understatement . she had that stern , no emotion look on her face like she gave up and just wanted end this . " what , what you said " I asked her thinking might I heard something wrong from her . " she step a little forward to the table where the dish was kept " I have made this dish along with mrs hema . if one of us will taste it then there will be no mark deduction , I feel she said in one go . " mehek , you don't " said mrs hema who was stop in between by mehek . " you have already lost your one point due to me . we can't risk one more . you are fasting . I am not. I was surprised to hear . how easily she said that . I moved a step closer to her and holded her from her elbow , " what are you doing huh, I know you are disturbed with what just happen but that doesn't mean you will forget yourself . you are a vegetarian and she is not even your dear friend . that you are taking such a step " I said trying to inform what she is doing . she looked at me and gave light chuckle and said " but she is a very nice human shaurya . there is something called humanity which is above our personal choices . we both don't eat chicken but today she is fasting . I know you don't believe in all such rituals but I do and I own her an apology " . I was stunned by her goodness once again . I know how much difficult it was last year for her to even make chicken with her family that her chachi helped her out and now presently she is ready to eat the chicken for some other contestant , whom she thinks she owns a apology . I was stunningly surprised by her I am good nature all over again , which I know she will regret later . I looked at her questioning about surety for her decision. I was looking at her only . she picked the near by kept spoon and took the rice they served with chicken in a plate . she was slow in her movement . she was aware what she is gonna do but looked still unsure . she took the serving spoon holding it little from its edges and took little chicken gravy and placed it in her plate. . she didn't even picked the chicken piece . it was so difficult for her but she tried to be brave , let her be then I said to myself . she mixed the gravy with rice with a looks like she is getting something block her nostrils and finally picked a morsel in spoon . I knew she is torturing herself just to satisfy her good soul . she brought it near her mouth and was thinking something deep looking at it . she took a gulp closing and just was about to open her mouth when I decided to end this torture for both of us . I stepped to her and holded her right hand in which she had that spoon . she did opened her eyes on my touch . she was surprised . I holded her hand more and brought that morsel towards my mouth and had it . I chewed it . I had no thoughts on taste . I just wanted to get over of tasting this thing . I freed the spoon from her hand , pushed her lightly from my lateral side so that she gets side . I took a piece of chicken and had it with rice . I did feel the taste this time . it was mouth watering . I looked at mrs hema , who stood there with a stunned look . " you were right , I will need more . its delicious " I said chewing more . she noded her head saying thankyou being surprised . I placed my plate back at table , rajiv , mrs aggarwal you too taste it " I asked my fellow judges and they did . I tuned back to miss Sharma . who with slight tears in her eyes just stood there looking at me . " chichen means chichen pieces ,not just gravy miss Sharma , don't act brave when you are not I comment and moved back to my place . I had no interest left in me to know what others judges said . I was standing looking plainly in my straight direction but I felt like miss Sharma had her eyes on me . I know the world will think that I was affected and first time I didn't wanna think that people will say by this stunt of mine that I do care for miss Sharma . as soon mrs hema judgement was done she and mehek went back to her place .

Result were out . kiran had the highest score , vishwas was second , mrs hema was third with score of eight and Rahul and smitee were forth with score of 7 and neha was eliminated this week . I was happy as both hema and Rahall were saved . but still I was not over what happened . I was not liking the crowd so I excused myself from everyone . " Rahul , I'll just come back " I said to Rahul. " don't go far away . I know you are still upset. Let me get free . we will go home . okay " he said . I smiled to him . I moved back to ISC sets . people and crew were wrapping up . I crossed the set and went to back stage . I didn't knew where I was heading to . I went where my steps took me involuntarily. I found myself at back stage exit where two cars were parked . it was greeny grassy area . I just wanted to be out . it was already dawn , street lights were still not on making more dark . I stood at the grass and hugged myself crossing my arms infront of my chest and I closed my eyes . I recalled what ever happened today so much happened I just wanted to help Rahul , I know I was teamed up with mrs hema but I didn't cheated her , that was never my intention . but instead both th team suffered , Rahul and mrs hema has consoled many times after the round result that it was not my fault but what if shaurya would have eliminated Rahul because of me . that thought only made me feel terrible. I had tears in my closed eyes now . this competition is not a wish for Rahul but is a need for him to win . his and arjuns house is at stake on winning this competition . I hugged my self more . I wish my equation with shaurya doesn't affect it . I was feeling that vulnerable and weak now and if he would have not stoped me from eating that chicken , then what . that thought made me feel to cry out. Already I am confused and disturbed with my reaction to his closeness on diwali and now all this too. just then I felt a hand on my shoulder . it must be Rahul I thought and I just turned and hugged that form . I had my eyes closed as I place my head on his chest . I interlocked my hands on his back hugging him more tight . I just needed someone to cry on . to let all my weakness , soreness and hurt to be out and I cried . my sobs were hearable now , " I am sorry , I am sorry . I know you will say its not my fault . but I did sabotaged your todays win what if he would have eliminated you . you are already suffering so much with your house at stake and no job . I said while crying . " I know shaurya doesn't like me and he will do anything to trouble me still I gave him a reason to poke us both . but I don't why I behave like that with him . why I am so different with him . why despite of so my determination , I can't ignore him. he brings such different emotions from me. His words hurts me more now " I said the last line crying more hard now . " what if he would not stopped me from eating that thing today " my hold on his back lossened with that thought just then I felt his arms on myself hugging me more into him . I pulled his shirt to hug him more now . " that thought shivers me " I said feeling his wet shirt due to my tears on my cheek now. I felt a tender kiss on topof my head , on my hairs . that touch gave me a thought and I knew it was not Rahul , whom I have hugged . I raised my head to look at his face . while he still holded me in his arms . I saw shaurya holding me in a hug and comforting me with a tender and consoling look on his face . I didn't expected that . I felt a heavy breath . and I pulled my self away from him but I felt a pain in my few hair roots whose ends were stuck with his shirt button . ouch I yelled with pain holding my hairs . he did removed him arms after me pulling back from our hug . " my hairs "I said . I looked at his face he was just looking at me . this closeness among us brought a lot of memory and I so very wanted to be away from him now . I was angry on myself for getting land up in this situation . " leave my hairs I said with anger . " I am not holding them " he replied with fact . I gave him an angry look thought he was right . I pulled my self more and was in pain due to it . " aah " came out my mouth . " mujhse dur jaana tumhe taklif de raha hai( going away from me , is causing you pain) I heard him. I looked at his face , he was looking at me with an intense gaze . I looked at him being amused . what he wanted to say by that . just then I remembered his last word that how in his senses he will never come near me . I can't be weak in front of him . " pass hona hum dono se bardasht nahi hoga ( staying close woulde be unbearable fro both of us ) ,( I took a pause . he didn't liked what I said ) specially when you are in your senses I completed my sentence . his jaw tightened as I said this . he wanted to scare me but I hardly cared . I lowered my head to free my stucked hairs . I rolled back a sting of my hairs that was stucked and just pulled my few hairs breaking it to free them from his button. I took a sigh when they were free and just took a step back when I was pulled back into him with his hand on my waist that brought me so close to him that I could hear his breath . I looked at him. my hands were on his shoulder . his looked at me piercing look making my heart weak . he din't blinked his eyes once which made me hooked to them more . I felt his hand spreading more widening his fingers on my waist making his hold on me more firmer . his touch did broke my trance from him . I looked at our position and started pulling myself from him to free my self . his hold got tighter . I struggled more. " leave me " I said firmly . he holded my arm from his free hand and tried to stop my movement . " I'll not " he said . I looked in his eyes . he was sure of what he said Already his nearness was making me nervous now why he is saying such words with so much weight in them . I felt my self loosing again and I can't let this happen . I stuggled more this time . already my whole body was in his contact which was giving me goosebumps and now his not letting me go hold is making me loose me mind too . I can't let that happen again . " leave me or I will slap you hard , whether you are drunk or not . I said with liitle rage in my voice . I was struggling more and more to free my self . he holded me tighter in a moment and I was perplexed with his strength and hold . he brought my face more closer to his which made my nose in alignment with his mouth due to our height differences . " I was not drunk that night " he said in an most casual manner , and he had slight smile when he said that like he admit his lie and was still not guilty. I was just looking at him being amazed by him . " and I am not even today " he said and kissed me on my left cheek that made me close my eyes on his sweet yet tender touch .
