From the past half an hour rahul and nehal have screwed me with their queries that how I landed up dancing with shaurya . now how come I know . that stupid neffin instead of passing me to left side he swinged me to right and from no where that khanna holded me .
But why he danced with me . while I was engrossed in these thought mohit came from behind , di tu kya bhatakti aatma ki tarah yaha akele main khadi hain , yeh le ice cream kha he fed me a spoon of ice cream. Ice cream was very chilled and my mouth was freezing I was even unable to swallow it I kept my hand on my mouth due to the freezing sensation . mohit judged my condition and was smiling . "di yaha mat nikaldiyo , log kya kahenge kaisi ladki ke saath aaaya hoon main he said jokingly . I hit him on his shoulder while I tried to swallow ice cream bit by bit. "Ouch di he yelled . few people looked at us. We both turned to the bush behind us. I gulped the remaining ice cream . " tu pagal hai kya ek dum se itni dhandi ice cream mere muah main dal di I scolded mohit . "di ice cream na dhandi ho hoti hai , kya hai na abhi tak tune garam ice cream ki khoj nahi ki na he replied with a grin . "ha ha ha very funny " I said mockingly . "I know " he replied in the same tone. " BTW yeh nehal aur rahul kahan reh gaye asked mohit. "I don't know . dono ne pareshan kar diya mujhe puch puch kar ki maine us shaurya khanna ke saath dance kyun kiya " I said irritatingly. " tune us lambu dariyal ke saath dance kiya asked mohit while eating his remaining ice cream . I glared at him . " its okay di , tera jiske saath maan kare us ke saath dance kar he replied with a weak fake smile .i tried to calm my self . "di , tu chahe khanne ke saath dance kar ya ganne ke saath teri marzi. Par agar koi ladka tujhe tang kare na to bol diyo . Beware main mohit Sharma ki behen hoon he said and placed his arm on my shoulder . I smiled at him and kept my head on his shoulder . he can make me smile anytime. I closed my eyes .
Ladies and gentlemen you all are requested to join mr Abelard near the stage as he going to announce the name of his new partner . I heard the announcement and I turned back I found folk gathering around the stage where Abelard , neffin and Georgia were already present . " mohit main apni colleagues ke pass ja rahi hoon okay , result announce hi hone wala hai " I said to mohit and I started heading towards KD sir and others. " all the best di " mohit said loudly from back . I turned and smiled at him then walked to the stage . I joined my colleagues . all seems bit nervous and were praying from inside for a happy news . I was feeling mutual . I closed my eyes and pray to god for best . when I opened my eyes I saw shaurya khanna standing near to our team along with Rajeev sir and two other members . his eyes were on stage . Rajeev sir said something to him and he turned his face to left to face rajiv sir but his eyes caught me staring at him . I lowered my eyes and looked straight ahead to the stage . mr Abelard came on mike and greeted everyone " hello everybody . first of all I would like to saw thank you to all for coming here and paying your presentation , talent and hardwork for our new venture in india. So now without wasting more of your time I declaring my would be partner for our new " KHUBSURAT SPEISE venture is he took a pause .I unknowingly looked at shaurya khanna . he was standing with head high and he stepped ahead towards stage . I found that very overconfident " khanna group mr Abelard completed his announcement . I turned to face mr Abelard . Mob gathered there started clapping and I saw shaurya joining stage with rajiv sir and shaking his hands with the german siblings. He had that condident smile of his. Media came forward and started clicking photographs and shooting videos . KD sir turned and with his face it was clear he was not happy . " guys I m leaving , you all can enjoy the party " he said and he left with a low mood. Sameer sir followed him . I was upset for all of us. My face was low. Ashima ma'am took a sigh and said " guys me too leaving , see you all tomorrow at work . while she said that she looked at me with those accusing eyes which I was unable to understand , I found it strange then I thought may be she is upset . all left only me and rahul were there. I was feeling bad, my face was low . may be my eyes were bit moist but I tried to control my emotions . rahul faced me mehek , I know tujhe bura lag raha hai , tune itni mehnat ki thi , par yaar its okay , hota hai " he tried to console me . abe yeh german ki buri kismet hai jo mehek unke pass nahi , unke naseeb main hi nahi hai tere haath ka khana " I smiled to him . " ab chale ya tune rone ka program start karke hi jana hai he said to me teasingly . I hit him playfully . he holded my hand and we started walking from there . while leaving I saw shaurya khanna he , rajiv sir and germans were surrounded by media . he was happy .
I was in the hall of my house . I had already informed my family about our team not getting the project. They all have consoled me in their own ways . nehal was narrating everyone about the lavish party she attended and mohit was teasing her how she was looking at everything with excitement . I was listening to all her talks with a low mood . I decided to go in my room . " mujhe bahut neend aa rahi hai , main sone ja rahi hoon . kal office bhi jana hai . good night everyone " I said with tired smile and stepped in the house while crossing the hall I stoped by diwan where my pd was sleeping . I looked at her and smile and kissed her cheek and said " good night PD I was about to move when she holded my hand and made me sit next to her she propped up and sat . I adjusted her pillow . she smiled at me and asked " ladoo bura lag raha hai " . I smiled with this thought that how easily my family reads me . I nodded my head in yes . " bura lagna bhi chahiye , tune itni mehnat ki thi aur us germany walo ne kisi aur ko contract kaise de diya , angrez kahin ke . keede padengen unko " she said . "PD I replied . she smiled at me and said "ladoo kai baar life main aesa hota hai jo hame acha nahi lagta , bura lagta hai , bura lagna bhi chahiye , aare hum sab insane hai . aur jab aesa lagta hai na beta toh us cheez ko duniya ki philosophy se thikh nahi karte ki koi baat nahi sabh thikh ho jayega ,balki us waqt aesa karte hai jo aapko khushi de , aesa kaam jo aapko smile karade , jo aapka dhyan us cheez se hatan sake . aur phir sochna jo hota hai ache ke liye hi hota hai. I looked at my PD, smiled at her beautiful thinking and hugged her . " thankyou PD I said . "welcome laddu " replied PD . I went straight into kitchen and started looking at the things that were available and with few minutes I made PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN PACAKES . I arranged them in a plate and clicked a picture of it . I took it in the hall where nehals talks were still on . " pancakes aap sab ke liye " I announced happily and my family members all gathered around me and took one one piece . all tasted it and complimented me for the tasty pancakes . I was filled with joy . I took the last two pieces and went to PD . I gave her a bite and she widened her eyes with smile said "yummm . ho gaya na dil khush she gave me a bite and I was happy with its taste said " yummm we both laughed .
I had changed in my sleep dress and was about to go in bed after putting an alarm in my phone when I saw the pic of those pancakes . I got a thought . I took my laptop and opened my facebook account . I posted the pic of those pancakes and captioned " JAB DIL MURJHAYE TOH PANCAKES BANAYE . I smiled and started checking notifications . Just then nehal came out of bathroom. She sat next to me and started applying body lotion . while doing that she asked " di tune bataya nahi how you landed up dancing with that shuarya khanna " all my joyness went into gutter . " nehal main tujhe akhari baar bol rahi hoon , mujhe nahi pata . mujhe neffin ne right side push kiya and I landed up with shaurya as my dancing partner okay . please don't ask this question again . I said being pissed off with this question . " thikh hai yaar . just chill " she said . nehal picked her phone and informed me that she is going out to talk with her friend . as she moved out I got a notification that KK liked my post and also commented on it . " looks yummy " I smiled . finding him online I thought to chat with him.
MS- hey
KK hi
MS Long time haan .
KK- You too were I guess .
MS Had a project I told you in our last chat . remember .?
KK yes I remember some new project or venture . looks like you get it. That's why you made these pancakes as a treat . right?
MS- project toh nahi mila but I learned a new funda for life .
KK- aesa kaunsa funda sikh liya .
MS- in life kabhi haar milegi toh kabhi jeet aur jab haar milegi toh bura bhi lagega ,which is natural but at that time instead of consoling your heart that its okay or getting sad on that .we should do something which can make us happy and it will enlighten our mood J . nice funda na ?
KK- Yeah.
MS - I guess you don't agree.
KK- yes you are right . I don't . what you said , I think is just an other way to console your heart that is ignorance .
MS- its not ignorance .its just taking your mind away from the feeling of lost.
KK - exactly my point .its an excuse for losers .
MS- koi excuse thodi na hai , besides you can't win everytime.
KK- having this attitude is a sign of being a loser . one should be determined that one can win everything if one believes in it. Plus for me its all about winning at the end .
MS- I guess we have different views on it. One can't win all the time . plus a human should know how to accept failure.
KK- failure is not in my dictionary.
MS - tum bilkul hindi filmo ke hero ki tarah dialogue mar rahe ho . ( i laughed )
KK- sorry I need to go . I have a urgent call to attend . will chat later bye.
With that he went offline . it was abrupt. I still posted a last message
MS- okay attend your call . bye tc and I wish that you never face any failure but if unfortunately you had one just remember the one think you love to do and just do it and be happy.
I posted it and log out . I closed my laptop and kept it on table nehal had return . she asked me " di light off kardu tu so rahi hai na . I noded my head . she switched off the light and I slept .
AT KHANNA HOUSE
I stopped my chat with MS as I saw mr Abelard number flashing on my screen . I immediately picked it up.
Shaurya- hello sir, you called . any issues .
Abelard - no issue shaurya I just wanted to ask when we can have a talk with miss Sharma.
Shaurya tomorrow morning only sir we will have a phone conversation with her and I request you to keep me on conference . so that I know what she exactly thinks about the offer and I request you to give her time for the decision , may be till tomorrow evening .
Abelard okay .but I wanna make things clear to you shuarya . your company has impressed me mainly with your land deals, marketing , your work flexilbility which has made all the lisence issues so easy for our project but I loved meheks cooking and I want her in our chef team as I believe good and tasty food is soul of any food place . so if mehek doesn't agreed we may have some issues .
Shaurya sir I promise you she will be in our team. You don't worry . good night sir .
Abelard good night shaurya , I will call you in morning .
With that mr Abelard ended the call. miss Sharma . you have always complicated the things for me , now he wants you in our team . how will I convince you to join my team , resigning from your present one' I thought. I took a deep breath . " I have to convince her by hook or by crook. I will get you in my chefs team miss Sharma . but I can' stand her as I said this my mind took me few hours back when I was dancing with her if I can't stand her why I danced with her this thought disturbed me.
" What the hell is wrong with me , why I danced with miss trp . I know she was not okay with that neffin , stupid girl couldn't refuse him but why i did what I did . why i crossed a dancer and fasten my footsteps to hold mehek when she was about to fumble ,when neffin passed her to the next dancing person" . getting fully pissed off from my thought I closed his eyes with the determination to forget about everything that happened but the feel of my hands on meheks waist and fragrance of her scent was still in my senses. I opened my eyes with rage . "whats wrong with me . I should focus on how to get that miss Sharma in my chef team , not on how I landed up dancing with her . I dance with her no big deal . this is not the first time I have danced with her or any other girl . with that note I switched off my room light and went into sleep .
I was already up by 7 am and had freshen up and was waiting for mr Abelard call. he called me at Quarter to eight . I told him to not disclose to mehek that I was on conference and he called mehek .After 4 to 5 rings she finally picked .

Mehek ( sounding a bit surprised ) hello sir .
Abelard- hi dear . how are you .
Mehek I am good sir. ( she sounded lost of words)
Abelard- I know you must be thinking why I called you . so let me just come straight to the point I want you to join as assistant chef in KHUBSURAT SPEISE .
There was few seconds silence from both sides .i was waiting for Abelard to break this pause
Abelard- you know I was very impressed with your food and after what I heard from rajiv about your talent , I so very wanted you in my team . I know you are right now working for food caste under KD But this is a great opportunity for you as we would be paying you 40% more than KD . Plus working with us will give you chances for abroad trips and more experience . I know I have sudden open this route for you . but you can take time and can let us know but I would highly appreciate if you will do it by today's evening or tomorrow as I am leaving back to my country tomorrow evening and will return after 3 weeks . so take your time and calls us when you are ready okay and if you have thought on what will you say to KD then just give your resignation and one month notice period as our project will also take some one and half month to get opened . so think wisely and inform us .
I found Abelard was very clear with his point . I found it a very good opportunity for mehek . being just a one year experience chef .
Mehek- thank you so much for the offer sir . but sorry I can't join you .
Abelard but mehek ( he took a pause ) I guess you are hurrying in replying. You should take some time and review the offer . may be u are not understanding it's a good platform for you financially and experience wise too.
Mehek- may be you are right sir .I am not understanding . but I can't cheat my company , which has given me the experience and chance that today, you know me as a chef .
Abelard mehek I feel you are just trying to be ethical but you should think practically . in todays world
Mehek ( cut him in between) sir I don't wanna give any justification . if you wanted to hire me as a chef in your hotel then you should have merged with our company . thank you for the offer but I am declining it . bye. Have a great day.

Before Abelard could say anything further she hanged up .i could sense Abelard disappointment .
Abelard now what shaurya
He asked me . I was highly pissed off with mehek's last words . now I was determined that I will get her in my team by hook or by crook. " sir you don't worry . you come back from your homeland and you will find mehek sharma as our chef I said that with a smirk .
