Another reason I didnt want the marriage track happening so soon. We all know what generally is shown in desi soaps post marriage. Why cant desi soaps show a FL working, being a career woman?

I am finding a bunch of things weird ATM actually😆 But telling myself aal iz well.
Maybe he really had some work that may have piled up if he did indeed wait for her all day the previous day! Or he wanted to surprise her by showing up at her place to ask her hand in marriage. He is such a drama queen.

But I have yet to watch all the previous episodes and so can not speak with confidence about the characters TBH.

@Nandy, they have to bring it back I think. There can be no kitchen politics in her in-laws house because not one of those uppity women enter the kitchen. 😆

One thing about Shaurya seems genuine. He wants her to work and he encourages her to be serious. That seemed real and something that will remain after marriage.

In general the show does not focus so much on food as it should

@Waida and Simran always waiting for ur beautiful analysis..indeed it was a good episode and didn't feel anything weird intact that bed dream of Mehak was so beautiful I mean. Ohh we're blushing and looking so in love...

Ok now coming to the episode I kind of liked today's episode, yes I agree with you for the dream song they could have given her good clothes at least, it was totally filmy, thank goodness it was mehek 's dream, and its convincing as its mehek thought as she finds happiness in small things. And then their phone conversation was good it was real

I also thought the story was progressing logically, Kanta chachi searching for grooms, mehek calling SK and informing him ( even there SK was in his true nature -expert in taunting her) and him coming and asking for mehek hand.

I don't see any scheming, planning of revenge by SK at least for now. And in yesterday episode before Mehek said I love you, it was he who proposed her first in his style by saying Mehek Shaurya Khanna.

I'm quite fine with what they're showing now.Telly you why. for Mehak cooking was a communion with her Mom, it was therapeutic for her, it's not a skill that KD can get it by contract or Shauriya by marriage.

Ideally on her first day at work, a big break even by Shauriya's standards she should've been thinking of her,missing her but she doesn't think of her Mom even once. It was all about him, his gift, his attempt to teach her fine chopping.

Julie, she has erased all bad memories when they parted after the party, she said,w're not taking any bitterness and her flashbacks are inline with that, more rose tinted,given the state of her heart😆

Initial episodes showed Mehak's intimate connection to the cooker, it was the first thing she woke up to and it's whistle was what woke her family. Now, it symbolizes him.

I was wondering why she wasn't shown with a Chef's knife in KD's kitchen and when KD observes her from far and calls her "desi type" it was obvious. He hasn't understood her capability fully yet,he thinks, she must be good, because Shauriya was impressed. Of all three pros, interacting with her, only Rajeev knows he has found a diamond.

i would like to see them giving the story a positive spin and show her coming up with magical sauce that'll help them both build the next KFC., rather than her crying over the stove & getting over a heart break.

He seems to be just doing what he needs to at the moment. So yesterday he needed the love confession. Done. Today there was no urgency to meet so he did not. When she brought up the possibility of marriage proposal it created an urgency so he showed up with a proposal from himself.

He is a man of action!
He did agree to meet her in the evening, which is normal for working couples i guess.

PC- I'm assuming he went initiate informal talks & once they give him a go ahead he'll get Mom involved & didn't want her to be stressed at this stage.
