I did rewatch the confession scene again, w.o getting inside the TV and yes, he did hug her when she crashes into him.

I think they just rushed it all after so many retakes. Don't they know that people are keeping a keen watch on the tiny gap, he maintains.?

I found him to be smug after getting the girl who wouldn't have coffee with him to say "I love you'. The smile didn't seem evil to me, just happy with pulling off a good stunt. Who wouldn't be?

I'm getting more convinced it's real.. the bg song after the confession today has some reference to Shaurie , if someone can translate.. .will be great to decode more.

Mehak does a happy dance after reaching home and am glad she had the luxury to savour the feeling.Wish they had given a long flowing skirt, would've looked good with the swirls.

Kanta Chachi is getting suspicious. And speeds up her hunt to find a suitable boy for Mehak. Mehak sends an SOS to Shaurie and like a concerned boy friend Shaurie rushes to GF's house.

KD is a suave villain, he figures out Mehak & Shaurya are in touch, if only he knew! Samiksha was cute as a cribbing Mehak.

His words sound ominous, "this gal will burn him " or something..

Shauriya skeptic Senior Sharmas ask for time to consider Shaurie's proposal. And waht a proposal! Yes, Nadny adorbs!😆

Hmm why do they give him cheesy dialogues? It's unconvincing even to me. He could've just said "I don't know how it happened, but I want to marry her" Let's keep it simple Cvs!

Poor MehRya are interrogated by Kanta chachi and Shauire goes back telling them, he'll be waiting for their YES".

I watched the epi with intention to find evidence to support my theory that it's real for him and found Shaurie gulping when Kanta chachi told him they need time. He does that when his feelings are out of control, go watch the pool scene in Agra for reference.

One thing I realised after rewatching the accident epi was that he didn't stage it, he was involved and escaped unscathed & just used the situation to his advantage.

I know skeptics the blood- could be of other people's not ketchup.

I don't think he would involve Rajeev and his Mom in his schemes if he had any ulterior motives in wooing Mehak.

Precap-Just watched on Twitter, Karuna invites Kanta for dinner. So Mom is involved and I think he means business.

I don't know why everyone in the forum is so upset, I was waiting for daily discussion thread to give my views, may be everyone won't agree. It's ok if I'm the only one who liked today's episode 😭

Logical progression in today's episode with chachi looking for grooms. Sharma family might not understand concept of careers for girls. Even so, it is way too soon after the Ajay incident to think of Mehek's marriage.

Good to see KK's sarcasm back.

The dream sequence was sweet but too long.

Sims, I too felt the song after the confession was from KK's POV.

Could the costume designer please give Shaurya dark colored shoes especially when he wears dark suits??😃

@Nitya12, I really liked your observation yesterday about her flashbacks. Notice too they are extremely edited. She cuts them off in her mind before her hand gets cut by the knife. Remember too that he actually humiliated what she made with that pressure cooker.

Okay I tried to watch this episode with an open mind, but it just doesn't feel right.

This is the journey of Mehek and she has a number of competing factors that are affecting her:

1. The narrative of romance: She, like any young girl, expects her life to be a fairy tale. That is the dream that she has been fed and despite her talk of independence, how quickly did she fall back into that?

2. The narrative of family duty: Despite living for herself for a half-day Mehek is back to wanting to please her family and making their dreams come true. Notice she tells Shaurya she will have to get married.

3. The narrative of talent: What caught Shaurya's eye in the competition was Mehek's unique combination of ingredients. Despite her conventional background, she is an unconventional thinker. This is what makes her special. She is a problem solver.

So since this week, #1 and #2 are center stage and #3 is on the back burner. I am not sure why they are not focusing on her talent. In the hotel kitchen I am not seeing any original thinking. It is actually a rather sterile atmosphere. What actually does she do there? Where is her food and her imagination? So I think this part needs to blossom. I think it will later when food becomes her way of getting out of the situations Shaurya puts her in.

The theme of today to me was smoke and mirrors, literally. CVs are fooling us just like poor Mehek. If we learned anything today is that Mehek's eyes cannot be trusted. From balloons, bubbles, music, Shaurya on her bed, she is seeing life as a fantasy. The heavy saturated light, all the mirrors in today's episode, the music, etc. all point to a person whose senses are confused. Yes, we can say that it is young love. But having watched love depicted in countless serials I have not seen it take this form unless tragedy is about to strike. The Shaurya in her fantasy is a projected just like her highly edited memories of him. When she plays with his nose in bed and he laughs, that is not Shaurya; instead, it is him in her childish imagination. To her he is a grumpy man who has been easily tamed. Notice her naivette as she may imagine this as her wedding night, or at the least start of it.

In fact, the whole family suffers from delusions. Shaurya is able to ingratiate himself with them because he knows exactly how they see the rich. All he has to do is flip their notions and stereotypes of him. His Bollywood dialogues, his casual dress today is all to flip their notions of him.I don't think the writers are writing cheezy lines because they can't think of anything better. They want us to feel the lack of authenticity

And, I loved the proposal to Daadi. But why Daadi? If we remember this sweet lady has a picture of Dilip Kimar (???) next to her husband on the wall. So if anyone is susceptible to being lured by a larger than life image it is cute Dadi. Shaurya too must have seen this woman's penchant for ridiculous romance. Is that why the proposal is going through her?

Remember the serial started with a reference to that picture as a joke. But the theme of mixing up image to reality may be a Sharma specialty.

Everyone shared excellent pov. This is best of our forum that we respect each other's pov. What i feel is that Shauryas love is genuine. As he was the first one to propose by saying mahek shaurya khanna. Secondly he is involving pd.from the very first time he came to sharmas house he respected pd. Remember the karvachauth episode. As soon as pd told him to sit he smilingly accepted. He has always loved his nani and in similar way respected pd.thirdly and most important he is involving his mother to invite sharmas for dinner. His mother is his soul and heart.he shall not cheat her and involve her for any rivalry or revenge or business. Remember the kulfi episode with his nani where nani said that one day a girl his wife will come home and make him eat it with dry fruits and then immediately showed mahek making icecream with dry fruits so marriage has to happen.maybe in future he loses his temper as per kd and ruins everything. But for now he is genuine.
