What may work for someone may not or work for another? Any character in a script that is worth keeping is developing. In direction it is important to properly gauge the length of time the viewer needs to digest the information in a scene. As a viewer I will accept as pertinent almost anything portrayed on the screen, even if it seems to make a little sense. (Greater audience involvement, the more popular the TV serial). A character's objective should be something that will engage the others character in a scene also one objective in a scene, what was the character's need and she played that objective. She acted unique bits of action to make it memorable. I m not technical or related to the field of direction, still put forth my point of view.

You know besides the performance and bit of technicalities, I love Karuna's character and I was happy hearing what she said. That came as surprise to me yet again (first one being the curse), because I didn't think she would tell it all to them.

Knowing technicalities or not isn't important, I watch it as a viewer. As a viewer for me her performance wasn't up to the mark and felt that the scene would have made much more impact than it did. But i wouldn't deny the fact that knowing technicalities can be a bit of hindrance in smooth viewing as you tend to observe more than necessary, which often happens with me. It has reduced in last few years though. 😆

Anyway, the point is the narrative has to be made clear to the audience and most importantly the viewers should feel the connect, which I guess is happening slowly and steadily in the show. That's good. 😊

I don't know why you are taking offence? but I never said or even tried to show that me having knowledge about certain things makes others pov or your post irrelevant or wrong. I just said I beg to differ, as in I do not really feel the same as you with regards to Karuna's (the actors) performance. What's with the taunt using "STILL put forth my point of view"? LOL
