It was Rajeev who discovered Mehak's talent and it was him who persuaded Mehak's family to send her for the India Super Cook competition. And it was him who persuaded Shaurya to accommodate Mehak into their competition as Shaurya was dead against Mehak's participation
He is a very good friend and like an elder brother to Shaurya. Also, he is aware of Shaurya's family issues and his problems. He is also his business partner and judge of this competition. Not only that he is the one who observes both Shaurya and Mehak very closely and knows what's going on in the sets of ISC. He is aware of what Shaurya thinks of Mehak (which he strongly doesn't support) and the reasons he is playing with Mehak. Other than that he must be sensing also that something is going on between the two
Given all these facts, I was wondering why Rajeev doesn't do or say anything to Shaurya other than how cruel , you are a devil etc etc which Shaurya doesn't bother much about...Why is his character just reduced merely to that of a helpless spectator? Isn't it his moral responsibility to protect Mehak or stand for her knowing about her family background and her upbringing?
