Hey Kelly (is it ok if I call you that?)

This is going to look like a long ass essay+ me fangirling.

Please bear with me.

I am infamous for giving huge reviews when I like what I read and since I can't quote your story, I'm going to review this way!

First, I'm always eager to read anything well written on a pair I ship, so when you posted your Res, I had an grin on my face. Don't worry, you are forgiven. You also need to have some real life inspiration to keep writing na? I hope you enjoyed your dinner.

Second, I adore alternate interpretations. So much that I write multiple AUs at the same time (a blessing and a curse) and nothing makes me happier than reading other people's interpretations.

Third: Totally worth the wait. Totally.

Brace yourself, fan girling is coming.

I will not lie, I actually grinned at your depiction of S from the get go. Counting down the seconds and weighting the odds. Cold and calculated.

I like how he has no patience for the play acting most society people indulge in, the flattery and the artifice. You've showed it most effectively with the manager's interaction with our S.

And then, the easy way S almost seems to use people like chess pieces, but he keeps his promises. That shows that he has honor, or more or less a twisted semblance of it.

Him counting down showed his impatience and I like the use of technique here.

His thoughts on M wearing the unfamiliar dress were a sadistic delight for me, I will not lie to you. For in that compact paragraph you've shown me that S is someone who studies people for their weakness and knows how to exploit them. This is brutal intelligence, not someone throwing a tantrum and acting like a spoilt child with a toy. Also, his attention to detail and to his own mistakes (dress being loose. A deliberate thing on his part or a miscalculation?)

His reactions at the way she still continues to offer resistance only makes this write up more realistic, more visual. Perhaps even more so than the show itself.

Him reaching for her collarbone had me going places I would rather not go in this forum. You might perhaps smack me for my thoughts. Don't worry, I'm not a kid though, so you don't need to lecture me about them!😆😉

M's feelings though. I think they are a masterpiece. For I always have a bone to pick with the way damsels in distress are written. This one was short and to the point. Nothing unnecessary, no pity party. Just the reality, and her understanding of its harshness. His harshness.

But I love the fact that she is no fool. As innocent and simple as she is, she is not nave. Her ensuring his honesty was the best part for me. Shows that she is not a mere victim, but someone willing to make the best of a worse situation, ensure something good comes out of it.

Her looking at him, non verbally asking permission to take that call. Her understanding of her situation and playing by the rules.

I only wish you'd shown me what was going through his head then.

His consideration to let her return to her usual clothing and his plans ahead only show me how much of a careful strategist he is. Ensuring something stronger for his future, his ratings and his own public image. It is this cunning I find incredible. Tells me a lot about him.

And to read of his own reaction to having his victim in his arms was a treat. He is not an unfeeling, unaffected island after all, his stronghold can be breached.

In the end it is about him being in control, all about him being the one in power. \

And that is a goal he has achieved. The way he dismissed his reaction to M as a mere side effect or a casualty was brilliant.

But even the best laid plans fall apart sometimes don't they?

Show me how.

-I hope I didn't offend you with my review.

I'd of course love to read more, a long piece.

Now my own imagination is on fire, thinking of ways the dance could backfire, with those pictures S has.

I implore you. Continue.

Hi...Kelly...!

What an OOTB one shot...! I must say...we have very few, but outstanding writers in this forum...! Though...all of you have your own signature and style of writing...they're all awesome and unique in their own ways..! As of now...all the stories that I have read so far, on MehRya's, make me conclude that you guys are pro's and write like professionals...may be, sometimes, even better that the script writers of this show...!

For example...this version of the "Indecent Proposal" is much more better than the one shown in the show...! I enjoyed this version of yours with my mind...and enjoyed the other one with my eyes...! Just like you portrayed Mehek in that sexy dress...at least, the cvs could have make Mehek wear a sari, and thus, make the scene look more intense and sensuous...!

This one shot...reminds me of the movie "Indecent Proposal" and the ("Just A Dance") scene...! Though...it was a very emotional scene between John and Diana...it terminated with a dance...!

Poor fellow...! He wanted to give Shaurya the more than very VIP treatment...and in return, got the ABE & GTH treatment...! People rightly say..."Avoid disturbing a famished caged animal or you may end up into it stomach"...not because it's hungry, but because you've invaded it territory...!

Shaurya...the cunning author, very intellectually/cleverly scripted and orchestrated this Dance & Musical dramatic stage play...! Being the Mastermind, the celebrity with a sharp-witted mind...Shaurya knows how to keep his dark side, his shadow in the back room, be invisible, act innocent, and bring into limelight his partner, a nobody...only to blow up later, like balloons, the ego of his companion @ Mehek...! ⭐️

P.S. Thanks Kelly for this beautiful OS...! Enjoyed reading it...and shall love to read more coming from you...! Ok..it's more than past my bedtime...but, wanted to give my review before hitting the bed...! Goodnight...! See you...! 🤗

This. Oh my god, this!
This is the Shaurya Khanna I believe him to be. The manipulative, sleuth planner and plotter who is constantly one step ahead of everyone else. This was such a delight to read and a far far cry from the dance we saw. This was how it should have been, how I wish it was. This was so in-character and believable. I wish it were true so bad, it almost hurts me a little.

Your ability to create an environment, an atmosphere, the tension and the attention to detail that you have peppered this piece with were nothing short of magic. This is by far the best piece I have read on MehRya on this forum. Perhaps because it comes so very close to my own interpretation of their dynamics.

There were many moments I loved in this, however since I can't quote it unfortunately, I'd just have to say it in the best way I can manage. Her ill-fitting dress, his intent behind it, his impatience for the manager, him reaching out for her collarbone, the photographer and the ending, oh the ending!

All I can say is brilliant! I want to read more from you. And thank you for inspiring me to write. Please do more of it!

P.S. I agree with everything in Ash's comment. In fact I quote it all and say ditto! Thank you for this, it was truly a amazing!
