I didnt understand either why they all seem to build these houses from scratch with their own hands...is it to show these people are skilled in these sort of works or is hiring labor to do such work is too costly there 🤔. Are we people then living in the lap of luxury that we all have our houses built by masons & the like 😛. And another thing, u ll get to see it shortly, the houses or flats they rent also are in such dilapidated condition that they need a lot of work before people can move in 😲. For eg . u might remember the house that was their first abode when they shifted to Istanbul, they had to do so much work before it became livable. How can a house become so broken down before being rented to another 🤔...kuch samaj nahi aaya how the system works in Turkey

I am actually pretty impressed with this Turkish culture of doing things with their own hands, be it fixing their houses or stitching one's own wedding dress 😳. ( @Sehar : your post about Gullie's Hasth Kala had me 🤣)
On a more serious note, it shows the dignity of physical labour unlike in our country where most people think it is below their status to do certain jobs 🤔.
Or maybe cheap labour isn't easily available in Turkey? Whatever...

Vidya, I was remembering those houses for rent which will be seen shortly in the show for u-know-who 😉. They all seemed real broken down... like in India when we rent houses , usually the owners give it in a good condition & ask the tenants to keep it so too , but here toh such ramshackle structures 😆

Oh , so finally everyone will be living in their own space. Chalo, better late than never...having said that it was quite refreshing to see everyone living under one roof...had a lot of warmth to it despite MQ's nosieness 😆

@Vidya (Dedleppard) u r right about Blue n white. Most of the houses in Izimir were shown in these colour combo. Be it Ketenci, Nalacali or Meryem n Kerim's house too. n yes their Goksu house at Istanbul was in this combination. what I find common is that All three houses where Kerim stayed had similar layout too(Izimir, Goksu n their new home)

Other thing is when Mustafa was building their house Gullie just use to watch him... But with Kerim its different... she is helping n very much involved in building their home.
