Lovely post.
Good points on
1.Murat avoiding Mustafa allure.

What a heartbreaking episode it was! To say that I could relate to the emotions of Fatmagul before, during and after the hearing would be injustice, at least according to me. I couldn't help but feel extremely awful for her when her criminals were released, despite of her all efforts and courage to stand in front of them. 😭 😭 The way she broke down after the Judge declared his decision was genuinely shattering for me. 🥺 Seeing her plight, I can't even imagine what the rape-victims must be going through when they see their criminals roaming around freely without any regret. And don't even ask me about those victims who are blamed for their own sufferings. :/

I try never to sound serious with my posts because the show itself is dealing with a serious issue and we all know what pain Fatmagul must have gone through so far, but after this episode, I couldn't help from writing this! :(

Coming to the episode, the real drama began where one by one those criminals ended up defending themselves, while Fatmagul could do nothing but simply remember how each of them brutally assaulted her and left her whimpering in pain. Starting with Erdogan's statement, that shameless creature spoke in his defense, like it was expected. 😵 And it terrified me when Fatmagul recalled how he was the one to rip off her clothes! 😒 Then came Selim's statement, and he too speaks the same, with some more additions like crying like a child and telling the judge how innocent he is and that his name is unnecessarily being dragged in all this mess! Even though it was of no use, yet I loved how she screamed at him for shamelessly lying. 👏 👏

Despite getting another chance of redemption, Vural too chose a path like Yasaran brothers, though with a different intention. But whatever his intention maybe, the fact that he lied makes me feel disgusted at him. 👎🏼 Not to forget, the way Fatmagul was looking at him with hopeful eyes when he stood did really show that somewhere she confided in him to speak the truth and how she thought him to be a bit different from Selim & Erdogan. But she was again let down. 🥺 Also, if someone observed, when Yasaran brothers spoke in their defense, she recalled the moments from 'that' horrible night, but when Vural was supposed to speak, she chose to recall 'that' night when he came to her for forgiveness. Doesn't that show how she was genuinely expecting him to stand with her? 😔

I couldn't understand what happened with Emre. Didn't Kerim tell him everything? I guess he just told him half truth. 🤔 Poor guy messed it up as he was called in before Aasu... And indeed because he fumbled with his words, Munir's and Yasarans' happiness knew no bounds. 😵 But like Seher mentioned, I liked how Fatmagul gave an "It's okay" look to him when he was sorry for messing it up. 😳

Lady Yasarans and Leman seemed to be quite bothered due to Meryem's presence and I liked that. 😈 The way Leman kept mentioning how she feels insecure due to her stares was quite amusing though... 😆 And Meryem remembers how these ladies portrayed themselves as her and Kerim's well-wishers just to save their criminal-sons. 🤬

I absolutely loved Aasu's 'words of mockery' to Mustafa. 👍🏼 That girl has got some sense now and doesn't feel afraid to stand in front of him and let him dominate her under any circumstance. ⭐️ Being a hypocrite, Mustafa could have been expected to throw his 'words of wisdom' on Aasu and threaten her not to tarnish Fatmagul's image when he himself has been doing the same all this while. 😳 Aasu was sensible enough to retort back and remind him that he too has been making money from Fatmagul's plight so there's not really any difference between them! Also, I could barely understand the familiar looks she gave to both Mustafa and Vural after the hearing. While Mustafa kept glaring at her, Vural gave a blank look to her and walked away. 🤔

Erdogan is indeed the most shameless, repulsive and ghastly character of this series, and another proof of this was seen in the episode when he was in high spirits after the judge announced to release them! 😳 Not only that, but the way he hugged Selim and then threatened Kerim & Fatmagul shows how he has no remorse at all for his deeds. 😡 And I don't think he'll ever feel ashamed in future too, according to what I observe in his present characterization. :/

I thought Mustafa's statement would indeed be a surprising element for me in the entire episode, but after what Niha wrote here and what my mom perceives with this, it's clear that Mustafa is yet again stooping down. 😵 Had he genuinely spoken the truth with the intention of only supporting Fatmagul or for his own redemption, that would have made me like him tiny bit. But if he has done all this to win back her love then I must ask, why is he still alive? Didn't we all ask him to spare some time and die? 😳 Also, the way he was smiling at Murat and then later gave a smile to Fatmagul after the courtroom session made me want to kill him. 🤬 Even that little Murat now understands what kind of a person Mustafa is!

However, there were certain things which I enjoyed in the episode, like the boldness with which Fatmagul not only sat in front of her rapists, but even refused to leave the courtroom when she felt uncomfortable and was requested to leave if she wanted to. 👏 👏 Her insistence to stay there shows how long she has travelled from not seeing their faces to facing them and making them realize that she is not at fault.

Not to forget Kerim's efforts and courage to stand up and speak the truth, not afraid of the consequences at all. ❤️ And his outburst on Vural was so justified, since he very well knew how that coward has been living each day after the incident.

The only likeable thing during Mustafa's statement was the tension clearly visible on Yasarans' faces. 🤣 No matter if the rapists were given clean chit, yet I enjoyed those nanoseconds of visible anxiousness on Risat's and Munir's faces! 😈 Also, I even loved Mukaddes's outburst on them since she couldn't make up on time, all thanks to Munir. 😵

The way Lady Yasarans greeted their sons after they were released cracked me up hard! 😆 As if they've won some medal in Olympics. 🤣 A special mention to Hilmiye, who felt as if she was on top of the world when Erdogan hugged her and screamed how they'll be back at home forever now! 🤣

But on a serious note, do Perihan and Hilmiye even realize that they're supporting rapists? This is a show so maybe we can laugh it off at their reactions, but there are some woman like them in real life who proudly support their sons in such cases! :/

Talking of Leman, she could barely express her happiness since Vural left no chance to make her realize that he cared the least for her. 🤣 Though I even felt bad when she tried talking to him in the car but he chose to talk to Semsi instead. Yet, his attitude towards Leman amuses me very much! :P 😆 I already posted one best interaction between him and Munir but I can't help it from posting again. *kill me* 🤣

Munir- Bahut achha kiya Vural.

Vural- Bhaad mein jao! 🤣 🤣

@Vidya- Honestly speaking, the first thing I was waiting for in the morning today was your dummy guides, because I knew they were surely going to give some hilarious insights to one emotional episode and indeed it did! 😆 Risat being like "Ab mera number hai" was as if he's prepared quite well for the exam! 😆 Leman studying physics for English exam and Meryem getting 8 in her practicals while Lady Yasarans got 7.5 was hilarious! 🤣 And OMG Munir's interruption about last year's paper being tough cracked me up hard 🤣 🤣

@Seher- I absolutely agree with you on the points about Vural and Leman. That lady has no remorse at all for what her son did, and on top of that the way she glared at Fatmagul and tried instigating an argument with Meryem was too much. 🤬

Speaking of Vural, his looks were as if he is pining for a consoling hug from Fatmagul and it totally put me off. 😵 Trust me, for a second I wished that he felt sorry for lying and immediately speak up the truth. But his cowardice never lets us down!

Yet somewhere I am confused about the way he looked at her when she broke down. I'm not at all supporting/defending Vural but he sat there like a zombie, looking at a sobbing Fatmagul when the judge announced to release them on bail. Can anyone give any explanations on that? Seriously, what is with Vural? 🤓

Hello Everyone. Yesterday's Episode had to be the most grueling, depressing and draining episode for me as a female. I just pray and hope that despite anything, no woman has to ever go through such pathetic situations, ever. A Court Case for a rape victim can be humiliating to the extent no one can imagine.

@Vidya Loved Your Dummies Guide for Exam Preparation! 😆😆😆 Leman, Hilmiye and Perihan doing group study with Meriyam, Munir realizing his aukaat, Muqaddas thought exam was in the afternoon, Emre fumbled in his Viva, Risat and Semsi eavesdropping at practical! 🤣
The most hilarious had to be, Selim looking for his chits and Vural going blank at the question paper! 🤣🤣
And Role Number 25! 😉😆😆

@Saher Lovely Analysis once again, though you had nothing funny to write still I find your posts witty. 👏👏😆
Comparing FG's monolouge to Khirad's was a good one, sharp observation.⭐️

I'll start with the case proceedings, I loved how FG walked in so dignified and so courageous in front of the Yasrans and Namli's. I felt like slapping Leman who was staring down judgingly at her, For What? Your son is a rapist who has the guilt eating him up from inside and that coward still doesn't has the courage to speak up against it, You had an EMA with the the most horrible leech, Munir and you look at her as if she's some characterless woman falsely accusing your son?! And how dare she call names to Meriyam? 🤬 Behaving as if her son is some "Doodh Ka Dhula?" How can a woman be so blind to such an pathetic extent? Never ever above than being a mother?! Beats me, really.

Mustafa!!! Time Nikaal Ke Marr Kyun Nahi Jaata Yeh?! 🤬
In what guts did he have the nerve to threaten Hacer or Aasu to not speak anything against FG when he is himself sunk in that dirt? He cashed money onto FG's name and now warns around everybody!? What a bloody hypocrite!
I loved how Hacer gave it back to him that he is as same as her, stooping low to any extent just for money! 😡

As Saher mentioned that Fatmagul's monolouge reminded her of Khirad's after Hareem's birth but in my case it reminded me of Kashaf's monolouges where she writes about all the wrongs done by her father to her family. I dunno why and it may not made sense cuz both are entirely different situations and it just could be the fact that I love and could connect to Kashaf more in her strength and FG reminds me of her too. Beren's strong scenes make me nostalgic of Sanam Saeed's strength as an actress and I end up comparing them. 😳 Both are such amazing actresses and I somewhere visualized that if FG is ever remade in Urdu, I can so so visualize Sanam S in Beren's role spcly the courtroom scene yesterday. Agitated and Heartbroken! ⭐️👏

I felt like hitting the 3 pisliks so hard when they lied shamelessly in front of the judge! 🤬 I almost was cringing in disgust when Erdogan lied and we got a flashback of Erdogan tearing up her camisole and at Selim's turn, his penetrating her. Selim got panicked and I felt like thrashing him! 😡😡
My mum who was watching with me gasped at the horrific flashbacks and I'm thankful that we weren't shown the rape scene or I might not have been able to endure it.

FG's scream of, "Uparwale Se Darro!" When Selim was lying so pathetically made me so heartbroken. 😭
And the pislik which disappointed me the most, Vural! 😡😡 I hated how he spoke up that he was innocent when FG was looking at him with an ounce of hope. What a shameless coward?!

The whole flashback that started as the judge announced the decision, and FG breaking down was so hurting. 😭😭 The way Vural was looking at a crying Fatmagul. Must say, Bugra is so so stellar with the deadpan eyes and expressions! 👏👏👏 Loved that particular shot really. ⭐️
And I can't word it out how I felt for Vural! 🤬 I mean, you had the courage to show up at her door to scream for her forgiveness but you didn't have the spine in yourself to speak up the truth despite the fact that you're guilty and your eyes are saying so! What Cowardice really!!

I loved how Emre fumbled, but he still did his bit despite not knowing the whole truth. His cameo really lights up the screen. 😊
And what was with Mr. Douchepants trying to portray himself as some Sachayi Ka Devta?! 🤬 I'm sure Mustafa would've done this only to be in FG's good books, But you aren't getting anything, you spineless piece of crap! 🤬

The Yasrans celebrating in the court of the bail of their worthy sons made me sick. It was as if they were really innocent! 😡😡 Like Meriyam said, "Kitne Beghairat Log Hain!" I loved how she snapped back to even Risat Yasran! 👏⭐️

Muqaddas let's them down again and this time she has a soft card of her pregnancy. I can't stand this woman really. 😡
In all of this, I feel so bad for FG. But I'm sure they'll strike back with force! ⭐️

So Season 1 ends here and we'll gear up for Season 2 tonight. The precap where KF share a hint of intimacy was beautiful along with the heartbreaking part where FG falls down running after the police van! 😭
And this is it that, Vural's been murdered.

Shanaya- Bang on post! ⭐️ I never really get what kinda guilt Vural is having, where he gathers courage to show up at Fatmagul's door and beg for apology but he choses to give false statement when his confession was the most needed thing.
Like Seher mentioned, I wish there was cross examination, coz in that case Vural would have definitely fumbled up with the cooked lies. 😳

Also, I guess season one ends right when Mustafa holds Fatmagul as Kerim is arrested. 🤔

Cheer up readers...(esp Besharmis).
This twist in destiny is needed so that FG and her team are better prepared for the next season/session.
Weren't we talking of thriving in adversities...in another thread...its the same everywhere.

Off topic.
I have been to Dialogue in the dark@Bangalore, a fine dine in Bangalore. I came out emotionally choked and unable to enjoy the simple food.

There is Sheoes in Agra, run totally by female acid victim survivors...on my bucket list for sure.

I know we have all been raving about Engin's acting (and with good reason!) but Beren is such a brilliant actress! The way she conveyed her rage and contempt just with her eyes- her mouth was always either pursed up non-committally or hidden behind her hand - should be shown in acting classes as a fine example of how to emote just with the eyes. 👏
Coming to Vural, I think his is a case of "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak". He WANTS forgiveness, he repents and wants to be rid of his guilt, but without inconvenience to himself. 🤔

Getting fokat ka forgiveness by begging at Fatmagul's doorstep is easy. Having to face the practicalities of a prison sentence, with all the physical suffering it entails, is difficult. He would rather die because dying is easier than living with the consequences of one's actions.

First Trial of Fatmagul Rape Case

Itz the trial day. FG is stony faced and nearly collapses when she exits the truck. She walks past all the Yasaran parents, who look at her with hate. FG thinks to herself, "Why do they look at me with hate? B'coz I didn't give in? B'coz I didn't accept the life they offered me? They want me to lower my head and shut up. I'm not the one who should lower my head, and they know it. That's why they hate me. You've all soiled my name in order to try to clean your dirty conscience. Taking refuge in your arrogance for your own benefit." Once they all take their place inside the courtroom, FG eyes the rapist sitting in the defence docket. And again her thoughts, "You committed the most horrendous crime, and i didn't deserve it. You've soiled my honor forever. You ruined the life of a person you didn't even know. Now look me in the eyes and dare to deny it."...
...And they look her in the eyes and deny. One of the hardest day that FG has to endure. She has to relive, listen and endure the pain all over again. The cruelty of having lies spoken about her by the people who've done wrong with her.

Testifying starts. FG silentaly asks God to please help her make it through the end of the trial. She stares at the rapists. Kerim doesn't take his eyes from her face. He senses how every glance and every word from the accused and the witnesses affects her. At one point, as each of the rapists declares themselves innocent (even Vural, after a long pause), FG passes out. She revives quickly, and still refuses to leave. Kerim has an outburst at Vural for being such a lying liar who lies. The judge demands order in the court. Kerim declares himself guilty; He was there and didn't do anything to stop the rape.
The witnesses are called in one by one. First the prosecution witnesses; Meryam, Rahmi & Emre. Next, the organized group of defense witnesses testify; All the parents of the rapists who claim they all were together that whole night, Hecer to paint FG as a loose woman, and finally Mustafa who shocks them all by telling the truth (though he doesn't reveal how he's been paid off by the Yasaran).

The verdict starts, after testifying becomes testilying. The judge says that based on the change in key testimony, aspects of the case have to be reinvestigated, including the medical reports. The medical attendants and Mukkades will have to testify. The decision is to reconvene for a new trial on November 17th. In the meantime, the rapists can go free but they cann't leave the country.
The Yasarans rejoice. FG breaks down into tears of despair. Erdogwan swears vengeance on both Kerim and FG.
