Thank you very much. Everyone is so friendly here. It's really nice from all of you to welcome me so warmly :)

Yes, sure. If you have got any questions then please ask. It would be a pleasure for me to help you :)

I've also learned many hindi or urdu words through watching Bollywood/hindi/pakistani serials. The more you watch, the more you learn about the languages.

Namaste, namaskar, bahut shukriya, nehi, accha are some of the words I've learned so far :D
I've also noticed that many words are very similar in hindi/urdu with turkish words.

Ask and ishq for example. Or aashiqui and askim. Nafrat and nefret are also pretty much the same. Or duniya und dunya. Sabun and sabun is also identical. There are so many more. I can't even remember all of them...

Especially Urdu is very similar to Turkish. Even without knowing Urdu, you can still figure out what they might be talking about because there are so many similarities.

Yeah, Turkish includes many different ways of greeting :)

Selamun Aleykm/Aleykmselam - It's basically the same in Urdu. Assalumu alaikum/ waalaikumsalam.

Then we have got "Merhaba", which means "Hello". Merhaba is maybe the most common way of greeting someone.

Then there is also "Gunaydin" (the u is different written again), which means good morning.

"Iyi gunler" (u is different) is also a way of saying "hello".

Then we have got "iyi aksamlar" which means "good evening".

Many people also say "selam" which is the shorter version of "selamun aleykm".

Turkish people also use words like "insallah", "masallah" very often. Those are also used in Urdu :)

@ayda tesekkur ederim canim😊
U too have learned many hindi/urdu words it seems😊. Yaa... I noticed similarity between Urdu n Turkish...
U wont believe...but it's just coincidence that few turkish words I found similar to Marathi (that's one of the indian language)
bak in turkish is Bagh in marathi
Hayat means life in turkish also means alive in marathi
Hava its similar in hindi/urdu/marathi/turkish
N The funniest thing which I found is
In turkish language Hindi means Turkey the bird
N also Janavar in turkish means monster while in hindi it means animal whereas hayvan in turkish means animal which is monster in hindi😆

Rica ederim. :) (means "you are welcome" in turkish)

Yeah, I have learned many words through watching indian serials/films etc.

But you also have learned many turkish words. Your turkish vocabulary is very good. Congrats :)

Hahaha that's very funny. I didn't know that. So it's exactly the opposite in turkish and hindi :D

Yes, hindi means turkey in turkish. And the language hindi is "hintce" in turkish :)

There are so many similar words. It's really fascinating. Deewana in hindi is Divane in turkish. And also mirror in turkish is "ayna" which is pretty much the same in hindi :)

By the way.. turkish "yes" means "evet" and "no" means "hayir".

Hello Shruti... Loved ur post on FG.
The main problem with FG is that she is not vocal about her feelings especially related to Kerim n we have to do all guess work about what she must be feeling here or why she did that. Whereas Kerim is like open book whatever his feelings r he voices them n even if he not, we can easily guess it thru his eyes (This is all credit to Engin). Like u mentioned how pleased he ws when Kadir informed him about Turner's letter.
It is not like she has become afraid/hateful of Men in general after that incident. Only once she showed that fear when Doctor was examining her for fever (after returning frm Aasu place)... with other male member around she is okay/comfortable be it Amre, Kadir, Omer or even with Mehmet.
But with Kerim her relation is different... may be coz of that she become more conscious or afraid... It is really frustrating sometimes to do all the guesswork.
But her actions really shows how much she love n care for him. Today too after that incident she wanted to follow him. She even insisted to go but Meryem Abla didnt let her go. That goes to show how important he is for her.
But also agree with you... she should have tried to understand his emotional state when clearly he was telling her what is bothering him. She just ignored it assuming he is drunk. N again that phone call...it was like last nail in coffin...Kerim was totally devasted after that... she could ve disconnected that call easily...
(Its Makers doing for creating drama n creating devastating/desperate situation for Kerim.)
Spoilers Alert:
In few later epis, at a times it was really difficult to understand whats going on her mind...I ve watched them so many times to get a clue...also reading about trauma of a rape victim really helped a lot... Still there were situation when really I wanted her to speak out clearly...
There r so many things I want to write but have to control as dont want to spoil it for first time viewers. Really looking forward to know ur views as we proceed further in the show.🤗

Hi Shalu,

Agree with u, i was also disappointed with FG s behavior in later scenes, that s why i mostly am silent reader here in case i let out spiilers 😛😆, bcos after seeing the whole show my viewpoint on certain things are different from what it is now in the middle epis of the show!

Too late dummyjii, already saw twice, once the original Turkish version without understanding a word of it but doing a lot of guesswork😉 & learning quite a lot of Turkish words like Shalu said & then second time saw it with English subtitles. Currently on third viewing spree 😆
