In my view, Kerim's reaction to Fatmagul's stand on Mustafa yesterday was a bit understandable. He is jealous of what he perceives as FG defending Mustafa (to be honest, she did come across a bit defensive of him even if it was unintended) because he is unsure of her true feelings for himself. She has never said to him that she loves him or even shared with him how or what exactly she feels about him. We as viewers can some times see her thinking abt him or smiling in private recalling something said by him, but Kerim is not privy to all that. She doesn't let her feelings be shown to him. On the contrary she keeps insisting there is nothing between them as she had reiterated just recently after Christine had sent those pics. Heck even we can't be sure at this stage if she has already fallen in love with him or is in the process of getting there. Even she herself may not be fully aware how actually she feels abt him. Hence, Kerim's insecurity abt her is quite understandable.

If we look at things from Kerim's perspective, he has seen her hating his guts at the beginning, to just being angry at him, to coldly accepting his presence in her life, to being slightly comfortable around him, to sort of friend zoning him (which seems to be the current stage). He really doesn't know if she has actually developed any feelings for him during this process or has merely settled into the comfortable, non threatening friend zone with him and is just happy to be there. On the other hand, he knows the extent to which she went for Mustafa earlier despite his ditching her in the worst possible way. She had infact agreed to marry him and move to Istanbul with him only for Mustafa's sake even though she hated him at that time. Hence, when he sees her defending him yesterday, he cldnt help but think maybe when she asked him not to fire at Mustafa, it was to save him rather than have him become a murderer.

Abt Fatmagul thinking that Mustafa is a low life but there are certain things even he wldnt do/there are certain boundaries even he wldnt cross... well, going by the promo looks like she is about to realise soon that this is not the Mustafa she knew from childhood anymore. This Mustafa can stoop to any level... there is really nothing that this guy can't do to satisfy his egoistic or materialistic needs and that Kerim's concerns about him are not really unfounded, even if his aggressive way of conveying the same may not exactly be right

Good Morning All. So good to see this thread filling up with different perspectives. 😊
@Vidya Loved The Dummies Castle Guide! 😆😆😆 Spcly Hoothon Mein Aisi Baat! 🤣 To point, I love the Linkin Park Song, you wrote. ❤️

To start with yesterday's episode, I agree that Kadir Bhai is trying very hard to calm Kerim down but he just won't. And I understand his perspective somewhere cuz he feels that he might lose the trust FG has placed in him again due to Mustafa.
I'm surprised at Muqaddas like someone pointed out, that she handled the situation rather than taunting everyone.
😆😆😆
I agree that Fatma's dubbed voice doesn't sounds that kiddish nowadays but the translation of the Turkish words and dubbing did spoil the essence a bit as most of the time it ended up sounding rude.

I mean I can get FG's point that she isn't scared of anything or anyone be it Mustafa and she will make him suffer through the lawful way, rather than doing up everything in the heat of the moment.
That's the way to go girl.👏⭐️ But then, her supporting that Douchebag Mustafa irked me too then I can understand the kind of effect it would have on Kerim.
It's a good thing that she dumped the flowers in the bin, but their argument after that was going pointless after a while.
As guessed that was a plan of Yasir and Munir, just to trigger Kerim and the family.

I loved how Kerim said, "Mustafa ko kuch mat bolo!" 😆😆👏 Oye Hoye! 😆
Vidya, The KFffect was like a Deja vu here, when Zaroon goes all scorny on Kashaf after learning about Osama's proposal.
The way he was taunting and at a point screamed at FG in the restaurant was the scene where Zaroon says, "tumhe mujhse yeh baat nahi chupani chahiye thi..!!" 😳
Such amazing actors, both my lovelies are!! 👏👏❤️
Engin and Fawad are amazing in their bawling, anger scenes! Ace them with their on point expressions, rage and eyes. 👏👏
Even the Meriyam Kerim hug from the day before yesterday's episode reminded me of Asher Farida hug just after the separation in Humsafar or the last scene where he kisses Farida's forehead. ❤️

Then Risat Yasran is now that kid in the whole class, who shows off his rich status on each birthday by giving away toffees and chocolates and is now having a tough time cuz he is short of pocket money now.😆😆
Kadir Bhai's praises have flared up Munir and I loved how he was like Arrgh! when Risat told him that Meltem is hell bent on divorce. 🤣🤣
Phir Se Nayi Musibat! 😆

I'm seriously not getting Turaner or the Raymond Man as Vidya Says! 😆😆 The episode from day before yesterday, he was blaming Meltem for all that had happened. Even shouting, "kaunse janam ka badla le rahi ho humse!" 🤣 Blaming her for losing his reputation, his political power and even his nomination and today he acts he's so concerned for his daughter in front of Risat Yasran wanting the divorce proceedings to come up quickly. These ppl make me sick really.🤢

Even I liked how Ender and Meltem shooed off Perihan who had come up to soften Meltem with her tears.⭐️
For a change, I loved how Meltem delicately handled Perihan knowing her situation as a mother, but still stood firm on her ground to divorce Selim. 👏
Ender's support to FG was so apt and on point. ⭐️ High time Perihan needs to stop thinking like a mother and use her grey matter for the best.

Selim's call for Lawyer had me in splits.😆😆😆
Even Erdogan was tired of that and asked him to calm down. That song by onee of the jail dwellers on Selim's situation was 🤣🤣

And Vural's dream was such a powerful one! 👏👏👏
The whole look of FG as the zombie that was haunting Vural was beautifully thought by the makers and executed by the actors. 👏👏 Vural runs away again for a chance at suicide and it felt bad, when he fell down and was being pushed by force while he kept crying to let him go.
That whole dream made such sense for the guilt that's been eating Vural yet he's too much of a coward to admit that.😡

Muqaddas and her talk with Salih had me so much nauseated that I can't begin to describe. This woman has no self respect of her own! I mean the man who thrashed her so brutally that too in public is again trying to get her and she's shamelessly indulging with him. I mean if not for anything, then for that ounce of self respect you have for yourself or perhaps that's absent in her. 😡😡
How shamelessly she lied knowing the truth that Salih's wife has broken the windows of the house.😡😡
I love how Meriyam says, "Muqaddas Madam!" With such sarcasm. 😆😆😆

Precap is something that I wanted Rahami to do since a long long time! 👏👏👏

I dont know y but i feel that fg is running bit fast...loads of scenes are cut or edited..the show seema to be on its way to end. It used to run 90 min in turkey with 80 episodes. The way it is here i think zindagi will wind up shortly soon as tyey dont hv sponsors( sum1 mentioned this earlier)
Ihope i am wrong... pl do correct me...
I dont want it ti end so soon.

@keenobserver: As far as I know, Zindagi is slicing the original episodes into 45-minute bits for daily telecast, which means that the number of episodes will be nearly double of the original 80. So don't worry about scenes being cut, except of course for the kissing scenes (since we in India don't do such things apparently) 🤔.

On last night's episode:
The Kerim-Fatmagul relationship seems to be forever in a blow hot-blow cold zone. 😭 Sometimes FG is upset with Kerim and sometimes Kerim is upset with FG. The song "Pyaar ke liye chaar pal kum nahi the...kabhi tum nahi they kabhi hum nahi the" is perfect for them.

I may disagree with the prevalent opinion here by feeling that Kerim's jealousy and insecurity were very understandable. Even though FG's words (as much as weren't mangled in translation) were bold and reasonable, her manner seemed aloof. Kerim is in a vulnerable stage where the only person in his life whose love he can unconditionally count on is his mother. No one else--not his father, and not the rest of the family. And the other person, who is the love of his life, is still in a state of indecision about him (we as viewers are aware of this through her scenes with her therapist). Added to this are the constant external threats to their peace.

Moreover, FG's defence of Mustafa seems exaggerated. She said he had appeared before her earlier, but done nothing to harm her??? What about the forced kiss which made her throw up in his face? How can she be so sure he won't do something even worse in the future? In fact, the new promo shows that her faith in him is completely misplaced.👎🏼

Note to self: Stop drooling shamelessly over Engin's Angry Young Man avatar. 😛😳

The zombie vision of FG was downright spooky. How I wish all rapists were haunted by such visions of their victims.

On a lighter note, the dubbing is bang-on at times. "Bandh kar apni lawyergiri" and "Saala Chooza"!!😆

Muqaddas again surprised me with her human side, when she warned the neighbourhood kids to be careful of the broken glass.

I liked how Risat tried to show he was doing some ehsaan on everybody for paying them to carry out his dirty work, and how Semsi threw it right back by talking about his counter-ehsaan of tolerating Munir. 😎

Tomorrow's preview looks fantastic! Can't wait to see Rehmi throw Muqaddas out and Risat going bankrupt!

Firstly, Thanks to everyone for welcoming me to this family. 😃

Just like I love both Kerim and Fatmagul equally, I also respect their individual struggles equally. They both are victims of circumstances with each having gone thru dreadful, horrid times. They both are doing their utmost to cope with the raw deal life has dealt them as best as they can. Hence, whenever I feel either is being judged a bit unfairly, I tend to get a bit protective and feel compelled to explain things from their perspective. I am sure many of us feel that way. It's actually credit to the writers and their brilliant, sensitive, insightful writing that they make us feel and empathise with both the characters equally in such a complex scenario where there are so many things that can't be seen either as black or white and are mostly cloaked in shades of grey

As @DefLeppard said - key here is our balancing or our having a balanced perspective to understand the intricacies of characters and the complex situations they are mired in :))

@Eirene: I totally agree with your post. Both these characters have their own perspective and in my opinion, neither of them is wrong.

Fatmagul trying to make Kerim give a second chance to his father is a good effort. But the situations are different. In Fatmagul's case, at least she now knows that Kerim wasn't entirely at fault. And Kerim has also been trying to make efforts to overcome his guilt and make her life better. He has always accepted what he did in the past and is always ready to do anything for her forgiveness and happiness.

On the other hand, Kerim's father never tried to apologize to him personally. Writing an apology letter is a one-sided thing. In complex matters, it is always best to have a two way conversation because it gives each person a chance to explain their situation better. His father never came to him when Kerim was still a child. He should have been there when Kerim needed him the most.
I can't say at the moment what made his father hold back at that time, but seeing his mother committing suicide because of his father has deeply wounded Kerim's mind and heart which cannot heal just like that.

In addition, Mustafa trying to "steal his girl" is making Kerim's life even more complicated. Kerim treasures the moment when Fatma stopped him from pulling the trigger in Izmir by giving him his "pyaar ki kasam". And now Fatma's assertion that Mustafa is not involved in the bouquet and house-breaking incidents, is making Kerim super-jealous. His actions and reactions are completely justified. He loves Fatmagul and is protective of her. Hence, he doesn't want Mustafa or anyone to create a rift between them but these incidents have just done that further fueling Kerim's already agitated mind.

Now that it's out in the open that it was Selih's wife and not Mustafa who broke the house, Kerim will be at peace. It will be interesting to watch Kerim's apology to Fatmagul.

By the way, I loved Kerim's angry young man avatar. He looks so dashing making sarcastic remarks and giving expressions of jealousy and anger. ⭐️

Hahaha... your post echoes all my thoughts about the dubbing and the makeup. Fatma definitely looked scary (like a zombie as u said) and the make-up was perfect. In fact, the makeup has always been really good in this show. Every wound, scar, dark circles look so real. I have always loved the dialogues and dubbing in Hindi. I think those words match the taste of Indian audiences. One doesn't feel like watching a foreign show.

What you said about Kerim being vulnerable and Fatma's indecisiveness is bang on!
It is obvious that any loving husband cannot bear his wife taking his rival's side with such surety.

I had never thought Rahmi could ever literally throw Muqaddes out of the house. 👏 I am so surprised by the preview. But she deserves this. And Risat going bankrupt will make Perihaan become mad. Ise kehte hain "Kar bura to ho bura".

Could it be that Mustafa coming to know about Salih Mecanli has anything to do with the court case? Lagta to hai.

@Dloves @Blyton @Mitali and so many others - I agree with you all that Kerim's reaction to Fatma's defending of Mustafa was understandable. I too feel Fatma's defense of Mustafa was quite exaggerated and didnt seem justified or even realistic given all that he had done against both of them.

Its not abt her knowing him since childhood or her being in love with him earlier or him being her voluntary choice and Kerim needing to accept the same and move on etc. Its about her judging him realistically based on the recent events he was involved in. If Fatma had tried to say that Mustafa wldnt do something as petty and small as irking them by sending her flowers or having their house stoned and that doing bigger devlish acts to piss them off was more his style, i wld understand that. But thats not how it came across. The way she said she knew him and that he hadnt done anything to her even when she was alone with him etc showed she trusted him not to harm her/them. Dont get where that trust is suddenly coming from. I see this as a writing flaw. Writers showing Fatma still having faith in Mustafa after all that he had done and her own recent reactions of disgust towards him didnt make sense. I mean, arent we talking abt the same Mustafa who shamelessly testified against FG causing her the biggest possible harm, the same guy who kidnapped her at gunpoint and then forcefully kissed her, the same guy who fired twice at Kerim and cld have killed him had Fatma herself not intervened. Also, had Kerim not turned up, who knows what Mustafa wld have done with Fatmagul. Going by what he had said, he wld have forcefully taken her away with him even if he had to tie her up to do so. Despite all this and in contradiction to her earlier stand towards him, writers now suddenly having FG show any kind of faith in Mustafa is not an example of intelligent writing imo (no offense). I think they needed to show jealousy driven friction between KF but their choosing this way to do it was a bit of lazy writing. They cld have come up with sthing more substantial or reasonable imo :P

@Blyton Bang on...agree with u abt FG defence of Mustafa was exaggerated. Not only he forcefully kissed her but also he did shoot Kerim too.
I understand it this way that FG thinks that Mustafa let them go that day so he may not do all these things..she is trying to be more logical
But as seen in precap this yakeen on Musti will be short lived.
Upcoming 2-3 episodes r my fav ones. Looking forward to it

Actually Both Kerim n FG r same. They both r jealous about Mustafa n Kristen respectively😆
We have seen how Kerim has always been jealous n insecure coz of Mustafa...n till now FG may not be aware but she too is equally jealous abt Kristen. Their way of handling their jealousy is bit different though. Kerim due to his childhood insecurities is very vocal, implusive about it whereas FG deals in her own silent way...
