Hello Everyone. Glad to be here after a day's break and am intrigued to see so much going on in the thread. 😛
@Vidya Love Your Dummies Happy Mug.
😆😆😆

I too would like to give my 2 cents to the issues that were discussed in the DT yesterday.
To start with, Comparing The Three Morons Vural, Selim and Erdogan to that Douchebag Mustafa is nowhere justified cuz the three of them meant NOTHING to FG. They were her rapists and that deserve to get punished. Drugs, Drinks or any shit does NOT justifies a heinous crime that is Rape.
But these 3 are expected to lie to cover up their guilty asses and barge in all the hell and earth to conceal the crime committed by them but what justifies Mustafa?
What justifies the way he behaved like a jerk in the hospital where he came to meet Fatma who had just spoken seeing him after 3 days?
What justifies the way he minted money out of his ex fiance's plight? Or the way he left her when she needed him the most and he still claims to love her?! Love Her, My Ass. 😡😡

Or what even justifies the way he is right now licking the Yasrans ass instead of opening that thick brain of his where his mother has filled him with the thoughts of, "Meri Acchi Parwarish Wala, Daya Karne Wala Mahaan Beta.." 🤬

Then Regarding FG, I still think her wandering out like this was unrealistic. I agree that she cannot stay grounded and I really love how she's more fiery, independent and fearless now yet she should've avoided going up to the burnt up house cuz if nothing, memories are going to haunt her which did happen.

Then yesterday's episode was such a firecracker for the first 15 minutes. 👏👏⭐️
I mean I was heck excited to watch the fiery faceoff between Mustafa, Fatma and Kerim.
To start with, as much I'm game and would love to watch Fawad aka Ali's one sided love story with Alizeh in ADHM. I'm in no mood to watch Mustafa's cheap obsession with FG or his Badlapur. 🥱🥱

This man bores me to death and I litreally want to choke the life out of him.
Please someone kill him already! 😡😡
How dare he hold Fatma and has the audacity to speak through his shitty mouth that he loves her?! 😡
Get this one thing clear, Douchebag! No woman can ever fall in love with a moron like you. You're such a blotch to the mankind.

The way he was comparing himself to Kerim and asking her that what's it in him, I felt like screaming that he may be guilty but he's nothing like you.
And My FG! 👏👏👏 She's such a tigress! 👏👏
Loved how she gave a tough time to Mustafa when he tried to force her, and how she grappled with him after he shot Kerim. 👏👏👏 Beren's expressions were so apt and firey here! ⭐️

Kerim.. It was such a heartmelting moment when he had the gun pointed over at Mustafa, Fatma asked him not to shoot if he loves her to which he replies that he loves her and leaves him..❤️
It shows the kind of man Kerim is compared to that Mustafa who though had him at gunpoint two times, let him go than the latter who had made all plans to kill him! 😡😡
The best moment had to be when FaRim walked off hand in hand in front of that Douchebag Mustafa who I'm sure was burning in the fire of hell..❤️
Rot in Hell, Moron! 😆😆😆
I'm glad that they got away without much of injuries. 😳

Then all the lot of FaRim after their return to Istanbul. ❤️ Be it the way Kerim smiled and spoke to her that she's back home or the smile that Kerim gives her when she asks if his arm is hurting and he's like.. "Nah!" ❤️
Kerim has another letter from his father, and Meriyam Maa reads it out. The content was so emotional and I loved how FG was so considerate throughout. 😳
Muqaddas! 😆😆😆 I mean this woman irritates the hell outta me and makes me laugh out too.
The way she was snooping around Meriyam's room and when she opened the door saying, "Muqaddas Madam!" And she was like, "Yahaan Biscuit Ke Tukde Pade Huye Thhe!" 🤣🤣

And now this gold digger has another opportunity to boss around Kerim as she read the letter and knows that Kerim's Father has or will leave him some huge property. Such an opportunist she is. 😡😡

To mention, I loved the smile and laugh Kerim gave to Meriyam when she was telling him about Muqaddas. 😆😆😆 He's such a sunshine. ❤️
About time, I mention Why this woman working with FG keeps giving her weird, disgusted looks ever since Mrs Beyhan came in there with Emre? I'm sure this Mrs Beyhan must've gossiped about Fatma to her cuz women can't be expected to do anything else. 😡😡😡

It cracked me up so so hard to see Mustafa crying and complaining like a toddler to Munir! 🤣🤣🤣
It was like.."mere paas kerim se acche toys thhe, phir bhi woh uske saath chali gayi..!!" 🤣🤣
He really sucks at crying! 😆😆🥱

And he has added another reason for me to hate him after the list is already full. I mean his false statement was so so disgusting that I now have this urge to pull Halidey by her hair, show her his Acchi Parwarish Wala Beta's Kartootein and thrash her for giving birth to a blotch like him. 🤬
Mustafa is such a bootlicker that he won't stop licking Yasrans ass and stoop to the lowest extent possible. 🤬🤬
I'm running short of my abuses for him.😡

Good question. Hope I'm able enough to answer this one.

Disclaimer:Contains off topic references and potentially boring to some.

If one were to look beyond the characters and their actions in this play, one can identify two ideologies that exist in Fg and in any modern societies, for that matter.

On one hand is the ideology of "rule of law" which is to guarantee "fundamental rights" built on LEF, (Liberty, Equality and Fraternity) and enforced through the "Judiciary" (Public Prosecutor and jury bench for Fg) with support of the adminstration machinery, also known as the Executive (Police, in Fg's case). United Nations Charter too reflects these rights in its written Constitution, so also in the Preamble of Indian Constitution. These rights are absent in the dark social realities that marked the Industrial Revolution era that was built on inequality, capitalism and eventually the cause of the World Wars. Very destructive indeed.

On the other hand, there is the ideology of elitism. Capitalists (those controlling the factors of production viz. land, labor, capital and technology) being economically well off control political factors by supplying cash in favour of land and licences. The incentives of elitism are inequalities and aspirational elevations. People love having luxurious cars, dining in expensive restaurants and globe trotting (Mustafa's likes, in short). Such lovely inequalities make for an unequal society. Inequality is what we study and work hard for... Such societies hardly believe in the E of the LEF paradigm.

Now, coming to the times when Vedat Tutkali penned Fg. This was in the post-war world, an era that was moving out from the ravages of destruction. Societies were going through a churn between socialism and capitalism. People knew that for sound life, both money and rights are equally important. Some people believed in defending rights, theirs and others. These are what we call as Leftists and a socialistic government defends and develops rights uniformly. Example: USSR. People believing in elitism and social superiority are what we call as Rightists. Example: USA

Coming to Fatmagul and Turkey, this was a country where it's social fibre was radically altered in the aftermath of WW1, so much so that the entire country changed its political system, national language, women's rights and religious overbearings literally overnight. Even the masjid azaan's language was changed from Arabic to Turkish. That's nearly unimaginable in India. That was Turkey and it's orientation towards "rights", which was very welcomed by Russia back then. Geopolitically, Turkey cannot afford to make enemies with Russia, reason: the Black Sea and the two straits- Bosphorus and Dardanelles.

And yet, Turkey couldn't afford to remain a mere equal without any international political orientation, a key factor that pushed it to ally with the NATO and the US. The US, right from its inception works from the directions of its legacy Fortune 500 bellwether giants and capitalist investors. They believe in a system of governance through capital lobbying and purchasing the power of money. Almost all NATO countries are also open markets for US goods, and NATO governments toe the overall US mandate.

One can see how Turkey needs both Russia and USA for its growth and development. And Turkey is nothing but a summary of its internal society.

Vedat wrote Fatmagul in an era when societies and nations are identifying with the aforementioned ideologies. Parts of societies believe in elitist ideologies (Yasrans, Turaner Alagoz etc) and parts of societies believe in socialist ideologies (Meryem Aksoy, Kaderbhai and other jail inmates). Remember that Meryem doesn't want Risat to forage the village land for business gains? Muqaddas and Mustafa, I need not tell you their orientation now. Through the colourful characters and well-paced narrative, Vedat Turkali has expressed his views of the two ideologies and their inherent opposition towards each other. Now to answer your question, through Mustafa, Vedat used this character to convey that for people to whom money matters, relationships and rights are hollow inexistent concepts. He uses Mustafa to showcase the uncompromising bipolarity of two ideologies.

Sorry for a lengthy answer.

@sarafatma

Thanks. I agree with your view. The only role Mustafa is playing and will play is to bring Kerim and Fatmagul closer.

Anyone knows the meaning of Fatmagul?

@bandanaa
You are being missed.

Did we just had an episode vdout Erdogan and Vural!! Atleast they showed Vural in precap.
Mustafa, we all hv appecuate erdogam acting as we oove to hate him but somewhere i feel the guy playing Mustafa has annoyed us. Such a grt acting. His emottions were on his face. He lost himself to munir in anguish...
Munir, he hit the bar when iron was hot..." agar woh yeh case jeet gaye toh woh dono aur kareeb aa jayengey"
Muqaddas, u read the last line with such a naughty expression, greedy, 'mera jo kuch bhi hai woh tumhara hai'
Kerim's swr smile through out the epidose was so charming.
