Big Punjabi wedding for Fawad and Kat
The two have been roped in by Karan Johar for writer-lyricist Aditya Dhar's directorial debut.

Katrina Kaif and Fawad Khan are all set to team up for Karan Johar and Fox Star Studio's next production. It marks the directorial debut of writer-lyricist Aditya Dhar. According to a source close to the development, it's a love story set in North India and unfolds against the backdrop of a big fat Punjabi wedding.

The source says, "The shoot is expected to kick off in Delhi sometime in November. Fawad is set to welcome his second child in October in Pakistan and will be by wife Sadaf's side till the baby is born. The film will roll once he's back in India and ready to resume shoot."

The story revolves around Fawad and Katrina's quirky, onscreen Punjabi families and will be a celebration of North Indian culture and revelry. The source adds, "Once done with the Delhi schedule, the team will move abroad. The locations are yet to be finalised and will be decided once Karan Johar returns from the US where he is currently on a concert tour."

We contacted Aditya who did not deny the news but refused to divulge any details saying he is not authorised to comment on the project yet. Composer Amaal Mallik who has been part of Dharma's recent projects is reportedly on board too but he too remained unavailable for comment. The film is expected to wrap up by January and the team is looking at a 2017 release. Fawad will next be seen in Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

I remember Fawad saying in Mazaaq raat that AR's first schedule will start soon.

Ofcourse not! I dont know why someone called it a chick flick...own assumptions. It is the same category as films like HSKD, YJHD, 2States etc.
